I wonder how many of these novel treatments will be found to cure/prevent/reduce other diseases once the crisis is over? Would be great if the common cold is also 'fixed' by one of the cheaper vaccines... But I'd guess that BigPharma would have buried that like a shot*. They make too much from cough/cold 'remedies'. *unintended

Watching Rick Stein on the box last night (I'll watch almost anything at the moment) and he did an apple and onion quesadilla. Two thoughts, did you factor in 2 jabs per person? A colleague has a GP sister - she thinks it could be 2 years before the Isle of Wight is fully vaccinated without significant support. Just not enough people to jab patients. And I believe the normal 'herd immunity' level is of the order 60%. Could be higher if the new strain is really that much more contagious than previous epidemic viruses.
