No, it isn't. There is a controller for the boiler (may be contained within the boiler). The boiler does NOT run all day if it senses the water in the system is cold. It is controlled by a clock, and a room stat or sensor.

Kids using staff laptops = NOPE Teachers installing software = more nuanced. Zoom for example. You might not want your lessons delivered using it; Trinity Cambridge Uni are using Zoom this year for interviews, and insisting that candidates have an inkable device. Thus teachers should be holding practise interviews using Zoom to give their pupils the best chance of shining. (I know this is a very specific example, but don't be too dogmatic would be my plea)

I went Wiser as the TRVs are quite a bit cheaper than other brands. However, I don't know if you can have just TRVs and boiler interface, or whether you need the controller too, though I suspect that it isn't worth not doing. Easy. No wet stuff to deal with, you are on the 'dry' side of the valve.

We've been discussing WHEN to test. 2yr old child of teacher in contact with a case at nursery - can't test child, apparently too young. Teacher tested, but too soon really for child to become contagious, infect father, and for him to have enough virus present to give a positive result.
