  1. Still got it; I doubt they would try to change something established.
  2. We got .ac YEARS ago, before they tightened up the criteria to (normally) FE.
  3. Symptoms described above are very like MrsC's. She was over them in 24hours or so. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow, unless the blood clots get me.
  4. Nah, they don't want MORE bad publicity...
  5. It isn't so much that there are false positives, but the govt have decreed that you can't, following a LFT positive in a school, go and get a PCR and have that trump the false+. If you do the test at home you can. It is the non-sensicalness that is the real problem.
  6. Random disconnects, don't show video on the outputs without restarting in just the right sequence, don't always charge... That sort of thing.
  7. Network adapter, 2x DisplayPort out, 4 USB ports, charging (but not, apparently, if you let the charge drop <15%).
  8. MrsC had the Astra jab yesterday morning. Shivery, achy, and a headache by bedtime.
  9. Practice maybe (and we do), but a proper mock should be sat in as near "real life" conditions as possible. They are relied upon if a child can't sit the real thing.
  10. Well, do it quickly before Micro$oft release another update that cripples your system for a day or so.
  11. Isn't it about time the phone companies did some "due diligence" when issuing phone lines / numbers?
  12. Don't forget about exams/mocks/practice papers. They won't go digital anytime soon, if ever.
  13. Drs' surgery just offered a jab a week earlier, and a much more accessible venue! Next Weds.
  14. Things may have improved, however, when my little bro' ran the recycling for Eling, he became aware that the bales of "recycled" plastic bags were being shipped to China, and burned in a field.
  15. https://news.scubatravel.co.uk/underwater-photography-competition.html Hmmm... To put this in the photography thread, or wildlife?
  16. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/who-can-get-the-vaccine/ Gov 'Who can have...' page. That's me booked.

  18. You don't say? Add in the ineffectiveness of LFT for asymptomatic cases... LOCK DOWN 4 in May. The one BoZo said wouldn't happen.
  19. If they are still using the headsets that I dealt with ten years ago, every part is also replaceable. Ear pads, headband spring, mic arms and capsule... The whole lot. Canford Audio - not known for being cheap stock them. There may well be others.
  20. Found it. There looks to be something in the green trees on the left that looks like a cartoon lion with human teeth. Thought that was it for a bit...
  21. WHAT!? Don't you all buy £3000 oxygen free, omni-directional kettle leads? (Oh yes, they do exist)
  22. Grason Perry's Art Club is back. Well worth a look if you have interest in human beings, and/or art.
  23. Say at Cheltenham Festival*, Eating Out to Help Out, "Saved Christmas", schools re-opening without proper mitigation in September and January (watch this space for March) In better news - some science techs are reporting being able to have a jab early if they are doing LF testing. Others have been turned away. Worth letting any staff involved know, and they can check local availability. * Described by someone as an example of how to design super-spreader event.
