Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
Andrew_C replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
Nurses (and others I'm sure) have ALWAYS had to have up to date vaccines. Hell, children attending school do too. The only difference here is loonies touting conspiracy theories. -

Not the only options though, is it? How about 5 staff who HAVE been vaccinated, and are therefor less likely to give her a disease that may well kill her? -

It isn't just the vaccine thing hitting care home staff. But we*, and the media**, won't mention that. * - Frogness ** - At fault -

'Someone' missed the memo about wearing a mask when visiting hospital. 'Someone' REALLY ought to be leading from the front. -
Science Lab Asset and chemical Managment
Andrew_C replied to cooper549's topic in How do you do....it?
Lab Expert is well regarded by those that use it, we don't. Lab Logger is brilliant for allocating equipment to experiments/labs/teachers. A bit of a fiddle to enter timetables etc but saves LOTS of time. Also handles dishing out risk assessments with appropriate kit/chemicals. Cheap too, only £99/year - free for the first. Wouldn't be without it! -

Hmmm... I'd take that with a pinch of salt. 100% of those I've heard of personally. -

"Herd Immunity" only works if you become immune to the disease by either vaccine or infection. Neither seem to apply with C19. There is potential for a new variety of vaccine the will provide immunity, but how far away it might be (if it is possible at all) is anyone's guess. -

It is very good, and at about 2hrs, not over long. MrsC thought the fights over-played, probably aimed at the game market. The worm-guys(tm MiB) are good as are the other FX.. No Sting wandering around in his pants. All in all - good job!

Trust me - LFT are barely worth the plastics they are made from. Two, within a half hour. One positive, one negative. Done the other way around (I doubt I'd have done a second) I'd have trotted off to work, merrily spreading it around. -

The BIG problem we have is that whatever 'policy' the Govt announce, it has got to be clearly articulated, achievable, and enforced. I think C19 might be going to my head... -

Well, following a positive LFT and a negative within an hour on Tuesday, I've had my + PCR. I do hope you lot are going to be posting lots of informative / entertaining things over the next few days.
