I've seen something similar on an ancient NEC PC that was running XP - it had got its knickers in a twist and was misreporting the CPU speed and the amount of RAM. When we popped the cover a load of the caps were bulging on the mobo.

Wow, amazing. My brother in law quite often metal detects along the Thames when the tide is out and he's found some interesting bits and bobs over the years - lots of coins and once somebody's dental plate where the teeth were made out of gold.

I'm using Kindle on my iPad and it's good although as some have pointed out buying the ebook is more expensive in some cases than buying the paper version.
