Is this the company that got their knuckles rapped for the non-delivery of hot-tubs? I might be mistaken though. Their website is unavailable.

Casio XJ-A130 Purple spotty image

I had a similar problem with a projector in a church hall. Bizarre colours appearing but not all the time. We had to get a scaffolding tower to get up there and have a look and when we got up there we found a squirrel or a rat had come out of the roof space down the pole and taken some bites out of the vga cable! -

Why does that suspiciously look like cannabis spilling out of the sub and not tea? Or is it just me? -
If I went on MM I'd go for: 1) the plays of Arthur Miller 2) the life and work of Don McCullin

I had the use of one for a couple of months at the end of last year and was blown away by how perfect it was. I experienced none of the display issues that have been reported. I use an iPad for most of my own personal IT needs now so I can't really justify getting one for myself (Mrs. Tech_Guy would kill me anyway if I did). However, my daughter doesn't know it yet but I'm getting her one for when she goes to uni in September. Despite being very thin it's a rugged machine and I think it'll stand up to being carted around quite well compared to the Toshiba she currently has.

As far as I'm aware you can't update the Sky Netgear yourself - Sky are supposed to push them out - unless you're really naughty and flash it yourself

I still haven't done anything yet as a shed load of things have happened since to knock this job well down my list of priorities.

Harnessing Tech Grant - Is this still available?
tech_guy replied to bodminman's topic in General Chat
We've been told it's being significantly reduced this year then disappearing altogether. Previous thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/58489-govt-claw-back-25-2010-11-harnessing-technology-grants.html -
There was something going on last night as we slowed to a crawl on SKY BB as well. Lasted about an hour. A friend in the neighbouring town with Talk Talk also reported issues. It seemed to affect mainly UK sites.

They need to try and do it thus; phone in one hand listening to a whingeing parent going on about how nasty you are because you blocked their little Johnny from using the Internet because he kept typing rude words in to Google, and using the other hand to assemble the parts whilst being nagged by a teacher because they need a projector setting up now for an assembly......... Now that is real skill!

One time it took a day to have one shut down, another time just under a week. These were malicious accounts. The minimum age for signing up to FB is 13 so if the child is below that age it's usually pretty quick. http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=13455

There's no rhyme or reason - in our case two pcs were perfectly happy to print to a networked HP CP2025, another in the same room was so slow and kept losing its connection to it and the express driver solved the issue. Found a bit on the HP forums where others had experienced the same problems.

I typed in "Coventry" and it just loaded up a page that read "OH, DEAR!" in big red letters. Is that bad?
