If you're a happy SKY BB customer then you're one of the lucky ones. In darkest Warwickshire it's pants. At the beginning of the month for the last fours months we have had without fail a day's outage with no explanation and I guess without any real idea what the problem is. [RANT NOT OVER]

Without sounding too much like a conspiracy theorist - this could actually be an instance of bioterrorism - a la the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack in the US. It would be quite straighforward to introduce E-Coli in to the food chain and given the localisation of this outbreak around Hamburg it could actually be an act of bioterrorism that we are seeing.

I was doing a bit of voluntary work today ( on my day off ) and was helping out run a silver surfers IT club. One of the gentlemen asked about powerline / homeplug solutions as his grandson had recommended it as his old house has very thick walls and his wireless signal wasn't reaching very far. He wasn't really sure what it was all about, so I explained what it entailed and how it worked and then suggested he Google 'homeplug' to look at some websites..... Unfortunately, he typed 'homo plug' into the mighty Google as an image search term and all of a sudden we were in a completely different world.... ....the little old lady on the next computer nearly had a heart attack and I made a mental note to recommend to the center's IT guy that he introduce some sort of filtering asap and that Google SafeSearch be set to Strict always ....! WARNING - DON'T DO THIS SEARCH AT WORK - SOME OF THE IMAGES ARE DEFINITELY NSFW!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking to 'consolidate' the printing / scanning / copying solution at home - we currently have two A4 HP Laserjets, a HP flatbed scanner, and a HP A3 inkjet printer. The space they take up has become an issue as well as the power they consume, so I was thinking of replacing them all with a HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fn We can live without A3 printing. Is this a good machine - does anyone have experience of using / owning / managing one? Edugeek suppliers - this'll be a personal purchase so if you can source this can you PM with your price?
