The problem you will face is the situation in Iraq / Iran / Afghanistan. Unless you want some excitement you'll have to go via the countries that used to be the former soviet union. I've driven around India and it's a bit mental. Are you doing it in a 4wd like a land rover?

Craziest place I have ever driven a hire car is Jerusalem back in 2005. Mental. They all drive like lunatics. Then to cap it all I had to drive through East Jerusalem and down the West Bank through loads of Israeli roadblocks and gangs of stone-throwing Palestinian kids. The hire company didn't bat an eyelid at the dents in the car when I returned it and I was amazed I didn't get charged.

Bad drivers to face £100 fines..... Seems a bit sexist......

The BBC fails all the time in my book. Useless for news - whatever happened to good old fashioned investigative journalism? Now we have to put up with the likes of Edwards and Turnbull, both dead from the neck up. Half an otter's brain floating in a saucer of Jack Daniels and goat wee could do a better job of reading the news.
