I shouldn't laugh at people who make genuine mistakes but

I've seen 'modified' graphics cards and RAM in the past. Why do people do this kind of stuff?!?! Only last week I was reading a blog written by a printer engineer who had to strip a laser printer apart to remove the toner cartridge that had been jammed in by the customer who had resorted to sawing a couple of the lugs off so that it would 'fit'...... -

I went in to a trendy bar last night and asked for an Osama whiskey... When the barman asked how to make it I replied, it's easy - just two shots and a splash of water...... -
Happy Birthday, Sonic: BBC News - Twenty years of Sonic the Hedgehog I wasted hours playing the original game on a Sega MegaDrive. Did anyone else manage to complete it without losing a single life in the game? I did. My wife says it's the only time she's come close to divorcing me.

So what if the iPad doesn't have flash or Java? I've been using an iPad for nearly a year now and it hasn't stopped me from using it as the brilliant tool that it is. So stop crying and pull yourself together.

A rather eccentric friend of mine electrocutes all the beasties in his garden. He's a retired scientist so he knows what he's doing so I don't recommend it to the novice. He's zapped ants, moles and mice using the two probes he pushes in to the soil when it's wet. Guessing it's the domestic 240volts but I didn't hang around to find out the first time he did it!

I'm looking to buy a cycle trainer. Any recommendations from fellow Edugeekers? Been looking at: CycleOps Classic Magneto Trainer But is it any good? Space is an issue so cycle rollers not a possibility. Just need somewhere where I can leave it all set up to do a 30 minute burn in front of Kerrang!

That video cost a £1000 to make. Most of that went on Bacofoil...

Great picture, but it looks more like Dr.Christian Jessen from Embarrassing Bodies than Tom Baker..... -
There were some truly scary moments in that race, weren't there!?

I've always used loopback. When I was backpacking in Australia an Aussie ex-soldier showed me how to do it on my boots and I've done it ever since.

This is so funny but a serious issue as well: The guy Casey Neistat is a genius. Apologies if it's already been posted on here. BBC Story....

is 30 min drive then 1 hour on train too much?
tech_guy replied to jonny_2010's topic in General Chat
You'd find it very tiring. I used to do a fifty mile each way motoring commute and would be exhausted by the weekend if I'd had a full on week with lots of stress and running around. Is moving closer to the job not an option? -
