  1. I think she's possibly deserving of the edu-etch-a-sketch?
  2. Thread Resurrection Time! Stupid question probably; but how am I to deploy the msi to workstations in AD using a GPO when it needs /i GameMaker-8.1..msi TARGETDIR= on the command line?
  3. Gen 4 16GB White WiFi Only?
  4. How many iPADs can I get for £20k?
  5. Everybody knows iPads and iMacs radiate. They radiate the sheer joy of being an Apple product.
  6. I can validate this. I'm stuck in front of a pile of them now. Wondering why I purchased them. Two arrived with the batteries disconnected so heaven's knows how they got through quality control. On one the rear cover doesn't fit properly so I'm going to make it fit, and another keeps going ga-ga and needing a reboot. All I've done to it is check for updates.
  7. And she's levitating! Either that or she has a glass rod stuck up her *snip* .....?
  8. What about crepe soled shoes to go with the pancake trousers...?
  9. My sympathy. Horrible when you break something like that. Have an eduhobnob.
  10. Who or what is Pope?
  11. Another vote for E45. Don't bother with anything else. And always wash your hands with warm water not cold and make sure you dry them thoroughly by patting them with the towel not rubbing them.
  12. Yes avoid OCZ as the forums are full of people with horror stories. I've got a 256GB Crucial M4 in my home PC and it flies.
  13. We just had a pigeon drop dead out of the sky and land in the playground. Is that a portent?
  14. Nothing here yet in the wilds of north Warwickshire....
  15. I had my left eye done last year free of charge on the A46 coming home late one night - by some chav with a laserpen...... ;-/
  16. My father-in-law's DLink went pop at the weekend - literally. First time I'd seen one die and go smoky! So now we need a new ADSL wifi router. Any recommendations? I was thinking of something like this for him: Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories Feedback or other recommendations much appreciated!
  17. Tbh I can see where they are coming from, given the fact that in countries like China there's blatant Apple Store rip-off clones springing up in every city.
  18. Lol....
  19. I can't wait that long
  20. Especially the ones 'written' by Rory Cellophane-Jones.........
  21. Go ahead and phone 999 - and report a theft - David Cameron and his cronies have stolen our pensions....
  22. My North Face walking boots finally gave in to walking through mud and water every weekend and have I think died from the boot equivalent of trench foot. My Merrells suffered a similar fate last year. To be honest I'm not impressed with the latest technology in terms of walking boots so far. Back in the eighties I had a pair of Daisy Root walking boots that I used for ten years and saw me around most of Australia. I still have them and they're still in good condition but very heavy and hot in warmer climes. Are there any recommendations as to what I should be looking at for trudging around the British swamps (countryside)?
  23. I've been in a similar situation to this myself, except that instead of apologising the chavnut threw the healthy parts (the packaging) of his McDonald's ReadyMeal out the window at me.
  24. So you've been on the M6 then?!
  25. Lovely. I had something very similar happen some years back. Some numpty in a Peugeot 206 with a big wing on the end was zig-zagging his way through the morning traffic on the A46. It was dark and wet and lots of spray. He undertook me at around 70 - 80 miles an hour - straight in to the line of traffic cones that were filtering the traffic from three lanes to two. Big traffic cones. His bonnet and windshield didn't look too happy when he came to a halt. I drove past and waved.
