They have no right to call you outside of your contracted hours unless you are on-call. Leave the phone at work and get yourself one on a cheapy contract for personal use. Don't give the number to anyone work-related. We have enough stress in our lives without having to put up with this as well. I never check my work emails outside of working hours, and have blocked all work email from my personal email accounts. Staff are blocked from my social networking rubbish as well.

UPDATE: I have managed to reproduce the bug – by having a cell somewhere on the sheet with text that contains a line break. Saving the file does then not keep the show formulas view. Deleting the text with the line break then restores the ability to save the file with the formulas showing and to reopen it with them still showing.

We have a problem in Excel whereby if a user shows the formulas used in a spreadsheet, then saves, when they open the file again it has reverted back to showing the data in the cells and not the formulas. This is an intermittent problem. Users need to be able to save spreadsheets showing the formulas used so it's a right pain when it happens! Upon Googling, it looks like other people have reported it as an issue but I can't find a fix. One user is reporting that it happens to him if he has text in a cell with a line break somewhere in the sheet. Office 2010 is fully patched. Has anyone come across this problem and worked out a fix? Running a repair of Office has no effect.

You could try pushing the relevant registry key(s) out to the affected machines via GPO?

Try using software rendering instead of graphics processing unit (GPU) rendering to view the webpage?

A lot of the 'free' gubbins on the Internet - usually rubbish that promises to speed your PC up or clean it of infections - comes with Babylon as a payload. PITA as it can be difficult to get rid of completely sometimes depending on what it's bundled with. I've seen a few problem cases with it and its variants.

Is this the demo? Only works for the user it's installed under. You have to buy a licence for the networked version.

Sorry but I'm all for it. Look at the Asian model of education - longer days and shorter holidays. No wonder our education system is lagging behind now. And compulsory languages from age 4. And proper IT. Not PowerPoint crap.
