Amazon have goofed: BBC News - Grand Theft Auto 5 in Amazon embargo breach And Mrs.Tech_Guy has sent me a text to say there's a delivery from Amazon waiting for me at home!

I use CPC, Maplin and RS. I'm very lucky I've got a RS trade counter in the town I work in so I can go and pick me bits and bobs up after ordering online. Maplin are expensive and only for emergencies.

Just got an email from Amazon to say my copy has been dispatched! Roll on Tuesday!

We can't find anything on SupportNet about this and Capita have yet to respond. We have a user who has broken her home page and gets an error message on logging in to Sims.Net: They can't reset their homepage to default either: Help much appreciated.

Hi, Has anyone experienced any problems with long client code names in PCounter? Also with names with spaces, and names with characters used such as &, :, -, and brackets? We're also seeing client codes appearing for the wrong user and also deleted client codes reappearing. As well as being unable to delete client codes. We're seeing some frustrating behaviour with our new installation and the support guys seem to be scratching their heads ATM.

Hi, Going round in circles here and can't wait for Altman to get back to me tomorrow morning as I need to fix a problem tonight. Can anyone tell me how to globally remove client code associations in PCounter? I can see how you can globally add CCAs to users from groups in AD but I need to purge all the CAAs currently set for 1000+ users. Help much appreciated!

Just rolled out a suite of newly imaged Windows 7 PCs with Office 2010 and discovered that when users log in the file associations for the Office apps are borked. They are okay for administrator. Apparently it's a known issue and Microsoft's answer is to repair Office?!?! Found a nice reg fix that repaired all the 60-odd associations, but it would have been nice not to have lost a couple of hours over it today Has anyone else experienced this little gem of goodness? A neighbouring PC suite is unaffected. Same image, just slighty different spec PC and install date. I hate Microsoft.

You'd be surprised as to how many individuals and organisations are still using WEP, or scarily, in some cases - no encryption at all. In my home town when I'm out and about I usually find one or two with my netbook when I'm bored.

Tell me about it - I was in the Lakes for the last two weeks of June this year and the number of idiots I encountered chugging up Helvellyn in totally the wrong gear with no maps, water or common sense was unbelievable. I even encountered some idiots trying to push a baby in a buggy up it.

A search and rescue drone is to be trialled by a mountain rescue team in Cumbria's Lake District. Video footage it relays will be monitored by internet users looking for injured or lost climbers and walkers. Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) leader Mike Blakey said it "taps into all the social media ways that people are using digital technology today". The University of Central Lancashire said it could be quicker, cheaper and safer than other search methods. The drone could cover an area which might take a team on the ground hours to search, said space and aerospace engineering lead Darren Ansell. "Speeding up the rescue operation can be critical particularly when injuries are severe or the weather conditions are poor," he said. On 25 July trial images from the drone will be relayed to anyone logged onto the AeroSee web application who can then click on any area where they spot an injured person. This "crowd sourced" information will be sent to the MRT, who can then send the drone for a closer look.
