  3. Sure, just owning any Nexus is a disaster. Buy an iPad instead... :-P
  4. To really, really, really wind them up - start talking about Romanians or Bulgarians...
  5. WTF? Have I had too much JD?
  6. People on there are so easy to wind up. Just start mentioning Christianity or immigrants and they're all off on one!
  7. If I remember correctly I THINK I'm BANNED from the Daily Wail's forums.....
  8. I know, but according to our Bursar 5w is 5w too much....
  9. I'm thinking of buying a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 G1610t and stuffing it full of 16GB RAM and SSDs to use as a home media server. Good idea? Has anyone on here got one of these? I have a number of the N40Ls at home and at work and they're very good machines.
  10. BBC News - Argos launches own-brand budget tablet for 'tweenies' Looks interesting. If the build quality is there this could be a quick, cheap option to use in schools. Strip the rubbish off and save the pink ones for the naughty boys, lol.
  11. PICNIC IT SOLUTIONS
  12. We were using the June 2013 version. I see there's a September 2013 version - 11.3.857.0 - is this what the tech support have told you to install to solve the issue?

  16. How we got somebody on the moon with people like this around: BBC News - Hertfordshire Police escort M1 cyclist off motorway
  17. But not by much!
  18. We used a company called T2-Technology. The platform is Net2, Paxton System with Mifare cards/generic cards.
  19. And cheaper.
  20. Anyone else using Paragon NTFS for Mac® OS X 10 to deal with NTFS portable HDDs? Good purchase? Reliable? Easy to use? We have a non-technical user so we need a simple solution for their home MAC. They need to move the files between this and their work WIN7 PC. They have a couple of portable HDDs with hundreds of GB of data and copying off and starting again isn't a simple solution for them.
  21. I will find out for you. Our Bursar dealt with it.
  22. We use Mifare for door entry and printing. 1K cards. Both Mifare and unbranded. Both work fine. Our MFD partner sourced them for us.
  23. Ignore the Canon fanboys... Go for a Nikon DSLR, they're affordable. As an ex pro photographer there isn't any other choice for me.
  24. FFS some people - can they tie their own shoelaces? BBC News - London firefighters called to help with spider in bed
  25. The dark web is something I've had a shufty at. Not very nice people out there. I've written about this stuff in the past on various blogs.
