  1. Eventlog throwing up any errors ? Gpresult showing the correct gpo being applied?
  2. Sorry to drag this up, how did you get on with it ?
  3. All teachers are editors, this allows them to create and edit lessons, but not allow them to purchase anything from the store. Sorry don't use sub-domains, I group the learnpads by colour and have a coloured label on the learnpad case to identify what group of "30" the teach has, this makes class connect management much simpler.
  4. Horses for courses. Our teachers set up their own lesson/profiles depending on current lesson/topic/ability of pupil etc. For example, our reception class has QR keys printed and stuck to different topic tables, i.e. Maths, Literacy, Creative etc. Within each of those "Lessons" (profiles) there may only be one category and one resource to begin with, but as the children become more adept at that resource (i.e. maths game = easy) our teachers then add a second resource to further enhance the learning outcome. If your teachers aren't eager to setup their own lesson profiles then the whole idea behind Learnpad is lost on them, they could do with some training tbh. I create the odd lesson for the teachers if it's a teacher who is a real numpty or hasn't got the time but 90% of them do it themselves. I run a termly "Learnpad" training session during a staff meeting to give refreshers.
  5. Love the way you can run wolfenstein 3d within the emulator
  6. Just had this link sent to me = Most are apt for today 26 incredibly annoying things you have to deal with on your first day back at work - Wales Online
  7. You have tried your best to help the former employee out by installing the mdm app remotely, if they can't/won't authorize it just remove it from your mdm solution and let them pick up the pieces. Or ask your office admin staff if they have a mobile number for him?
  8. Are you binding on IP or server name? I find OSX doesn't play well with DNS and prefers IP addresses. Same with proxy config. Check time isn't skewed between client on OD master.
  9. Well done all those sticking with it. I have fallen off the exercise / healthy eating band wagon completely. I'm just hoping I can get my head back into it after xmas!! I have a couple of 70+ mile cycle rides in May/June and i'd rather not be dragging 16st+ around with me lol.
  10. You could try installing osx to an external drive and see if it boots ok? That way you can eliminate the iMac hdd.
  11. Start here = Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup - Apple Support
  12. Maze runner - now there's 2 hours of my life I wont be getting back anytime soon
  13. You must have nicer parents than ours. Ours tend to lie about losing tickets etc and try and get more and more and more ....
  14. Looking at eventbrite. Our issue is we want to restrict each family to 3 tickets only initially. There is nothing stopping multiple accounts in eventbrite and people buying loads?
  15. Admin network has google docs and O365 filtered at the moment
  16. OK I've been an office monkey this morning helping get through the millions of school concert ticket orders that the poor office staff are trying to sort out. They use a simple sheet of paper with different colour pencils for different tickets etc. There has to be a better way? I'm thinking spreadsheet but then it would need to be shared between 2 admin staff and always writable. Anyone know of some software for ticket allocation and reservation ? Ta Si
  17. @elsiegee40 PM your email addy and i'll invite you.
  18. Inbox? I like it.

We have had initial training here (primary), but staff don't seem to grasp what benefit aVLE can be to them. We already give pupils 4-6 access to email. Can't see this taking off massively in primaries.
  20. You don't actually expect accuracy in reporting anything with the Daily fail ?
  21. Get them to sign that they either a) have backed up their data (back it up anyway**) b) want you to backup their data for £50 they always choose (a) and when you give them their nice restored pc back with no my docs etc and they panic say you will have to run disk/data recovery on the drive at a cost of £150 (**just copy files from backup you made at the start)
  22. Looks good to me, right up my street.
  23. Receiving lots but with no attachments. Have blocked "Test mesage" on my domain, will await the next reincarnation.
  24. Not working here for me.
  25. You would need to pay me £95 to wear that not the other way around
