A small headsup for you all (may or may-not be related to this isue)... The default sizing from some school photographers is tiny now I noticed as they are wanting to sell you larger small images, we had this with the firm we used as they were tiny in Serco so I spoke to them and they said we had the option of buying a Small JPG from them for other uses in school such as displays etc... this was a more useful size, however they would allow up to a set size for no cost but then said it may not import to our MIS. So worth asking for them to be the biggest you can get for free and then you yourself batch shrinking if required.

This is what I personally had - B72-4262 - Eurocase 2000 Standard : Product Detail that was great and could store small bits and bobs in the bottom trays, but then had wheeled trolleys from Argos for more parts I can highly recommend Parts Boxes & Organisers style tubs for storing screws, nuts, bolts, stand-offs etc.. in as they are brilliant. I got one at my last place and we put all the different Projector bits and bobs we had accumulated over the years in it so were perfect when we swapped to Casios as we could grab the case and lots of bits ahoy

Machine Mart for something like that might be better? Assuming you want a mechanics style tool chest / box as per your image above

From that photo, I don't have the printer in question, but it looks bust, its right hand end should be up higher and fit into the gaps in the teeth above it I think you will find.... It looks like its part of the fuser that pushes the paper the right way up and out of the system and if its in the wrong spot like that one is it will jam as the paper won't flow right I'd suspect that someone has been heavy handed removing a jam

I will say the Projector Point calculator I linked to has always been very accurate for my needs with Casio, Hitachi, In-Focus and NEC Projectors that I have fitted with it.

Assume the bog-standard PC has a bit of grunt behind it given all that your asking or you are running Virtualisation on it to spit it into a few machines?

and you missed the BLINK tags Although they have been retired I think in most browsers now I know the latest FF release retired them

We did ours by AD Security Group. A GPO was set to all Workstation but then it only applied if the machine was a member of Smart Software group thus any PC could be added and get the Smart Software Worked a treat, also had one for Promethean software for the few Promethean IWBs we had.

SS-RR-NN SS= Site (or School Initials for Servers) RR = Room NN = Number or WB for Teacher PC

Also has warning of using with a pacemaker... sounds great for using in Hospitals!

I would look at something from Dave @ ICT Direct some of his Thinkpads get them and a 3 year warranty and plan to repalce them after 3

Under 3 years I don't think I've seen a well made product from them which in my opinion is suitable for the education market for many years.

My personal view on Toshiba Laptops is avoid and go for the Thinkpads. I had a lot of bad history with Toshiba Laptops, albeit a few years ago now but they sucked and were not child or teacher proof yet Lenovo (and IBM before that) are bulletproof That is my 10p worth and I am sure that someone will come on and say the complete opposite

How is the trackpad especially the buttons on yours? A colleague has one and its incredibly irritating the click isn't always reliable and it doesn't always seem to respond

I have Sky and am pleased with it

Had Borri UPS's and they are good, we did have some issues which took some poking to get resolved but once the broken link in comms was resolved things improved

Looks in bag oh yes I has a work Blueberry, it works better than EE most of the time
