  2. Hi Nick, After reading this thread a good point has been raised http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/131089-am-i-being-irrational-old-fashioned-here-2.html#post1120538 Using HAP a user has to download the document ans then re upload, which is perfectly fine by us as staff are only permitted to use HAP on school hardware. My question is, are you able to implement a system whereby the user downloads the file, makes changes then upon closing the file its re-uploaded and deleted from the machine? Thoughts.. Matt
  3. Todays song?
  4. That was my exact reasoning when I was approached with this issue. I host the data but it gives them a 'Cloud' experience.
  5. At home I have a 120GB SSD running Windows and my steam library and a 1TB HDD with my music / photos / docs etc. Works perfectly!
  6. Look in your web.config file in the root of the HAP folder specifically the permissions section. [Code/]
  7. Dont have the IP to hand, as soon as it's up i'll let you know.

  9. We use schoolwebsite.co.uk for our site. They built it and host it and we have never had a problem. The site is very nice looking. I'd link to it but sods law is its down at the moment as we transfer domain name registrars! Let me know if you want to see it. Matt

  12. We stick an announcement on HAP. Staff know this is where they look for any updates.
  13. That was actually really good!
  14. Not sure if its what you need but we've just installed dokuwiki. Free and open source!
  15. At the moment I use GPP to schedule a shutdown command at a certain time but find it doesnt work all the time.
  16. Subscribed, I too am interested. I have looked into PowerMan by Data Synergy but not trialled yet. Matt

Thanks guys for my lanyard and badge! is the edugeek logo on the millgate stand a wind up? Lol
  22. Told you I was being stupid. I had been allowing https://webserver/hap in the proxy bypass but hadnt changed it to https://remote.school.co.uk!
  23. All my clients look at internal DNS server1 and server4. I've checked DNS and my new zone has propagated over. I think I'm being stupid here and missing something obvious!
  24. Same here, though I've hit a snag. It works on my DNS servers when I browse to remote.school.co.uk/hap but when I do it on a client it doesn't work. Strange!
