About bristop

  1. I went around the houses a bit but eventually tracked downtechnical support and they said that it is possible to upgrade these to W7. Theysupply drivers on CD for £4.99 (not available via download), I ordered a set whichwas delayed because they had run out of blank disks! I have it now and I amgoing to try an upgrade this week. I’ll let you know how I get on.
  2. We had 16 Fizzbooks model NL1 in a Fizzbook trolley which includes 12v power supplies. The school then bought another 14 Fizzbook V3 Model EC10 which are housed in the same cabinet, but I have noticed that the stated power requirements for these Fizzbooks is 19v although they seem to have charged OK (in use for about a year), has anyone else come across this issue?
  3. Has anyone upgraded Fizzbook model NL1 to Windows 7?, if so what are the issues?, are drivers available? Any advice appreciated.
  4. Some of our teachers want to set an ICT task for pupils (9 – 11 year old range) to create a Wiki. This would be for internal access only. Our learning platform (DB Primary) doesn’t do this well. Has anyone deployed an open source application to provide this type of facility for a class to use? We’re running Windows Server 2008 R2.
  5. Does anyone know of / use a capture program for YouTube videos? I've had a request to 'download' YouTube videos for use in lessons, assemblies etc.
