  1. I'm stunned... "On July 31, 2017, we’ll discontinue support for the Microsoft Classroom Preview, as we work to unify our classroom experiences in Microsoft Teams in Office 365 for Education. Since the Microsoft Classroom Preview released, we’ve been very thankful for schools’ feedback from around the world; which has helped us improve benefits and features of the service. Ultimately, we learned to keep it simple and put classroom resources all in one place. We listened and we’re bringing the best of the classroom features (e.g., Assignments and OneNote Class Notebook) to Microsoft Teams in Office 365 for Education."
  2. Sad to say, this is our experience too...if anyone has found anyway of improving it, I'd be interested. As it stands, it's too slow to be workable. Like you say, it isn't a fault in IAC or CDM but webdav itself, especially in how windows and webdav handles large files. Anyone have any thoughts?
  3. I'm just starting out on my journey with SharePoint and I have learned a lot so far, but I know there is a long way to go... I work for a MAT and I am suitably convinced that I will be using SPO to allow staff across the trust to PROPERLY manage their documents in such a way that others in the trust can relatively easily search for resources which others have created. I know this will be a challenge, but I reckon it can make a huge difference in the long term... Anyway, I'm looking for other SP administrators and users who are willing to share your experiences, especially in the areas of: * use of metadata * design and layout * use with other services (MS Classroom for example) * security settings If you're willing to have a conversation, please let me know. Thank you awesome people
  4. We are looking at the exact same thing. I am convinced that O365 could be a successful learning platform with the right tools, and Microsoft are pushing it too... I recommend you take at look at Microsoft Classroom Microsoft Class Notebook Microsoft School Data Sync Salamander Sharepoint LPplus I'd love to know how you get on
  5. Sorry - I know this is two years old...but does anyone know how to do this please? I've disabled Developer Tools via GP, but the Inspect Element option still allows them to edit web pages... which is irritating to say the least! Any thoughts lovely people?
  6. I've PM'd you with it...anyone else? Ping me
  7. Great!! Thank you - all sorted now
  8. This as a batch file should do it (if anyone wants it) @echo off wusa /uninstall /kb:3159398 /quiet /forcerestart
  9. Yep - we've just experienced this too! Sadly...everything has now installed said update... Need to find a way to uninstall it across the network now...
  10. I've replied to all who requested - if you still need it that is :-)
  11. Yay! I helped
  12. Cool - I've PMd you
  13. I've managed it, if you're still looking for a script?
  14. Unless I am very much mistaken, the ability to anonymously share folders in OneDrive has disappeared for us within the last few days... I can share individual files (with no sign in required), but not folders. Is this a 'feature update' or has something gone awry? Many thanks clever peeps.
  15. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the admin guide to this software is more complex than 'A Brief History of Time' - clear as mud!! I thought I had it, but then the roaming settings did not apply... Did you get anywhere with this?
  16. Hehe! So literally nobody knows?! It's not like Microsoft to be confusing about licenses...
  17. So, in the old days, we had to renew the subscriptions via the OVS provider etc etc. These subscriptions are called 'Office 365 ProPlus for Students'. Since then, we have had 'Office 365 Education for Students' added automatically and I have transferred all the student accounts to it. Therefore, I am now allowing the original subscriptions to expire. Is that right? Do I need to renew it - or anything?
  18. Sorry to hijack - but did you encounter anything about setting up SharePoint? I'm really very interested in utilising the heck out of it, but it's a bit of a beast to get one's head around when one is going in almost cold!
  19. Hehe - that's not like Microsoft - they're usually so crystal clear about their licensing... - - - Updated - - - Thank you, you lovely people!
  20. If one has a current active OVS agreement which covers Windows OS...is one then allowed to run Windows Virtual Machines on desktops also (using VirtualBox for example...for a coding environment)? If not, how does one go about ensuring compliance? Thank you for your wisdomousness!
  21. We've been given a few Promethean PRM-AB2-01 ActiveBoards, but without pens or power supplies - I don't suppose anyone has these things I could borrow just to test them please? Or even, if you have them surplus to requirements...? Save me paying full whack for new ones. Thank you
