Hi there, we have a number of Sharp photocopiers here on site they aren't happy when trying to print JPEG files. When we try and print one, it'll go into the print queue and say spooling and will just sit there. The file never prints and subsequent jobs sent to that printer won't print either until the spooler is stopped and the JPEG job is deleted. Since the issue started, the drivers for the printers have been updated and the firmware on the devices themselves have been updated. Has anyone come across this or something similar before? Thanks

I need a formula for each subject pass % grade 4 to 9 and then an overall cohort % pass rate 4 - 9. I have played about with it but I'm getting nowhere. Any guidance/assistance would be great. Hi there, My trusty HP Ultrabook 840 gave up yesterday so I need a new laptop for work. It was a good machine and done everything I needed it to without hassle. Can anyone recommend a make/model for general day do day usage. Have a budget of £500. Cheers

Hi there, I have configured the OneDrive GPO and want to test it but when I install OneDrive on to a PC with the /allusers switch, the icon doesn't appear and when double clicking the onedrive.exe file, nothing happens, even when trying with an admin account. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Cameron

Created a O365 group but when trying to move the form, the group isn’t listed as an option.

Can’t do that because if I create the form, no one else has access permissions to see the responses.

Hi there, We want to utilise Forms but have a query. If for example I want to create a booking form for using our school mini buses, how can make it so that the responses go to the shared mailbox we currently have for transport. I know I can create the for using my O365 account but can’t work out how to do it for shared mailbox as I want to avoid individual users taking ownership things like this. Anyone got any slick ideas for this? Thanks I’m anticipation.

Hi there, this is just a quick questions to see if you are using onedrive for staff and/or students and what restrictions, if any you have in place for these users. We currently have RM Unify and the OneDrive mapper creating a O:\ drive map to users OneDrive account. Currently we only have 5 users running this and they love it, which is good. However, I'm interested in seeing how many schools have this setup and as above, see if you are using onedrive for staff and/or students and what restrictions, if any you have in place for these users. Would also like to know how straight forward the step is for having their home drives mapped to OneDrive and shared areas but need to know more about the restriction side of things. Hi there, I have been asked to look at the possibility of restricting users from downloading onedrive files and folders when not connected to the local domain. ie: downloading stuff to their home PCs etc. Is this possible? Thanks

We tested a few win10 build with 4gb and they were painful to use. Stuck 8gb in them and we fine. After installing an SSD in to the mix they ran smoother than a cashmere jockstrap! I was finanly given a few grand over the Xmas holidays to upgrade as many machines as possible. Looking at £50 per machine for RAM and SSD then this will get 50% of our machines done over the next few weeks. Then I'll be working on extra cash to get base untils replaced for those that can't be upgraded. Good luck everyone!

Due to same issue with ISAMS we need to delete the cached images and files from machines. Does anyone have a login script that can do this? Thanks

Hi there, I need a template for people to fill in when they are planning events here onsite as it's currently done in a really fragmented way and when the event arrives there's a tendency for things to have slipped through the net causing headless chicken moments. I'm thinking of something that has the various sections of the school listed (IT, Maintenance and grounds etc) that have multiple options next to them ie, next to IT they could tick that they need a Laptop and a projector. There will of course be an option under each section for 'other' and a 'Notes' section for anything specific. Does anyone have a template they'd be happy to share with me or offer any ideas on how you manage such things at your site. Thanks

Yes but some schools simply don’t either have the money for replacing incompatible PCs/servers or the money to purchase the components to make the machines compatible. Not a lot of money sloshing around in schools at the moment.

Hi there, we signed up for this in the summer term but the sh1t is hitting the fan since the school employed a new Bursar at the end of the summer. He wants to stick with PASS as he believes that the ISAMS solution is not well thought of in the wide school community. Does anyone else whos done this transition agree with this statement? Thanks

We’ve got no chance of moving away despite warnings to the upper echelons of the school over the last 30 months. Fed up with banging my head against the wall when they consider spending £20k on fancy new desks for the sixth formers a higher priority! P1$$ed off to say the least!

I'm afraid not. I done a port scan on the IP and nothing is found. Pinging just comes back with Destination host unreachable. I shall leave the ping going until something appears. Thanks anyway

Hi there, This morning we have had an up conflict with a device that as a reservation. I have the MAC address of the device that has the same up as the domain device but I cannot find any other info about it. I have looked through our web filter logs and server logs for any further info in the offending MAC address but there is literally nothing to be found. To get around this I have had to change the IP of the reserved device but am stumped at how to find the naughty item. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks
