Hi there, is there a way to setup scheduled scans using Avast? I can't see it anywhere! Cheers
-
System Restore seems to have sorted the issue out. So now I'll have to keep an eye out on the updates etc and see which one breaks it again!
-
First thing I done was AV and Malware checks and both return 0 issues. I used Avast and Trend Micro Housecall and MBAM and Spybot. I am now doing a system restore to 10-10-15 so we shall see how that goes. Fingers crossed!!!

Broadcomm 802.11n Network Adapter Driver ver 6.30.223.256 Have the issue with Edge, IE, Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Have also run Malwarebytes and where as this usually completes it's scan with 15 mins, it now takes over 45 mins and never finds anything.

God knows. I am now going through each device and manually updating the drivers just in case. I'd also say that W10 is more sluggish than it has been too. The laptop is no slouch with an i7 cpu, 8gb ram and a ssd and looking at task manager it's not breaking any sort of sweat at all. It's just become niggly but you really notice it when browsing the web. I have tried it going via the Ethernet cable and that didn't make and difference to the browsing. I'm stumped!

Morning all, My lappy is running W10 and the wife's lappy is running W8 and up until about last Friday we could browse the web at home without issues. However, my wife still browses without issue but my lappy has gone crappy! If I run both the BT Wholesale and Speedtest.net tests both return 18mb down with a ping latency of over 350ms. On the wife's machine the download is about the same but the ping is always much lower. What I'm experiencing is very slow webpage loading. If I open a browser and type Google and hit enter, this takes 12 seconds to load! Anyone got any ideas? Cheers

Well I contacted DrayTek premium rate telephone support today and what a waste of time that was. I could hardly understand the chap who was supposed to be helping me and by the time I had finished explaining the situation we were 1/2 hour into the call and got cut off! Great! @featured_spectre - I'm going to have to be onsite tomorrow so can I please contact you? Cheers -
Just filtering. We're currently using Lightspeed which is great and cost us £4k for 3 years. We're a relatively small place with 500 users including staff and pupils and don't mind if it's physical or virtual.

I want to give our Bursary a budget price for our web filtering renewal/replacement so that he is prepared for when I come cap in hand in 11 months time. I know it's a long way off but he's not bothered as long as he's got a 'rough' figure. Why don't the leading vendors publish a basic pricing structure so that I don't have to make contact with you and therefore end up with endless sales calls/letters/emails! Rant over!!!

DrayTek Vigor 2925 & Lightspeed Rocket

The DrayTek is the Gateway so the IP is dished out via DHCP. I've never used a DrayTek before but was advised to go down this route by the ISP as they knew there connection works on them. The Sonicwall was a doddle to setup and was very intuitive but I'm not liking this Vigor 2925 one bit. -

Anyone got any idea or knows of anyone or a company who knows what they're doing on the DrayTeks? Need to try and this resolved on Monday of possible! Thanks -
Hello everyone, Today I tested the our new leased line via our DrayTek and I ran into a strange issue. I have allowed all the ports on the DrayTek that Lightspeed request but clients lost their connections and BYOD stuff stopped receiving the captive portal when first connecting to the web so couldn't authenticate. However, they could browse to lsaccess.me and login manually! The current setup we're moving from has our ISP coming through a Sonicwall box and that works a treat. I'd love to continue using the Sonicwall but it won't accept the connection info from our new ISP. I.P: xxx.xx.104.47 G.W: xxx.xx.104.46 Subnet: 255.255.255.254 The Sonicwall won't accept that subnet and can be fudged with a subnet of 224 but this just creates other issues. My query is that is there anyone else using a DrayTek with a Lightspeed Rocket that would be willing to share what settings they have in place so that I can compare? As always, thanks in anticipation!

Hi there, Just wanted to see what you guys and gals do to promote eSafety within your environment. Currently our ICT teacher covers it but the Deputy Head wants to know if this is the best way or whether we should be looking at another method. Please share. Thanks

If they've done it to Exchange online then I wonder why they haven't for Outlook.com?
-
Why would they do this!?!?!?! I have just spoke to there tech support and they just said that if this is the case then there must be a security issue or something! Great help that!!!!

Hi there, we have just noticed that when typing email addresses into the body of emails in OWA, they are no longer being hyperlinked. Can anyone else confirm whether or not they have this issue too? Thanks in anticipation.

Good morning all, I have finally got round to getting this installed and so far all has gone quite smoothly. However, I am am having problems getting the customers authenticated via LDAP. After entering the LDAP settings into 'Framework -> Frontend::Customer::Auth' I then try to login with a customer account at http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/otrs/customer.pl and get the following message: Authentication succeeded, but no customer record is found in the customer backend. Please contact your administrator. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers
