Laptops booking not sending emails

Mind you, after having multiple hap instances, I'm not sure if my hap event log is working. Not seen anything in it for a long time. Any way to remove and re add? -

Nothing in the event log, and I've not set up the web tracking yet. Code looks the same as mine -
Laptops booking not sending emails
TheScarfedOne replied to TheScarfedOne's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hmmm yes, the bookie is getting the email - but I've reduced the three admin to one (me) and it doesn't come through. This does only apply to laptop type bookings and the initial confirmation. Room or equipment type bookings the resource admin correctly gets the confirmation too. The cancellation is received correctly in both cases -

Yep, I'm using that dll at the moment. I'm trying to track back to which version it stopped working. It's got to be somewhere in the send to admins bit on the initial booking, as the removal email gets sent to the resource admin. -

Done a bit more digging. It sends the email to the user; but doesnt send it to the resource admins. To eliminate a white space issue - I listed just myself in there. Oddly, when you cancel - the resource admin gets the cancellation - so is it the new rules engine breaking something? -

Feature Request - Booking System
TheScarfedOne replied to TheScarfedOne's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Nick Sorry - Ive been a bit slack on replying to this one! I tried the above, and the version included in v8.7 - but cant see it logging anything the HAP Event Log on the server; and its not changing an action on the booking system either. -
Hi Nick Odd one, wierd issue. When booking a laptop, the admins arent getting the email anymore - but if you cancel it; the cancellation comes through! Only Laptop bookings look to be affected. Could you take a look for me? Since updating to 8.6 and now 8.7. Stuart

[sims] FMS (Academy) - Email configuration for BACS confirmations

Local SMTP relay is the way forward here. Ive just had to do the same for Sharepoint to be able to send mail to a distribution list, which has restricted senders on it. I'll dig out the paperwork i did for it, and its one I will blog on anyway, as it took a bit of faffing. -
Flipping heck!

As TMG has been retired...
TheScarfedOne replied to denon101's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Im currently using it too - and not in a big rush to change as it needs development from the other players in the market to support the SSO for internal and external sites like Exchange, Sharepoint, Lync, HAP, Helpdesk etc... -
SQL Offload to other machine and permissions

Hmmm, no change on 8.7. Cant see where its getting upset; but still getting the 401 on the client. -
Thin Clients and HyperV
TheScarfedOne replied to somerset_tech's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
Running a Hyper V VM RDS farm of 5 servers here. Bits on my blog about it - and over on Microsoft Schools Blog too, as I did a case study for them. EDIT: And I re-using a load of old RM Ones with Windows Thin PC on them. NLA and connection broker all run nicely. As above - get your resource allocation right, otherwise it will crawl with lots of users on it. -
Me and @john have recently completed big infrastructure upgrade projects. If you can give us an idea of your layout - we can give you pointers on some of the best ways of doing it. Worth a chat to @Net-Ctrl too, which were our partners. Having a partner on board can help with the tricky matter of cost vs benefits...

Permissions to it need to be? I'm going to replace the files from the latest download too... -
Sharepoint, anybody?!?!?
TheScarfedOne replied to british_government's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Yep - Im a Sharepoint Intranet here as well. File store, news, calendars, discussions and blogs. Weve got local hosted too - now using SSO internally so no need to double logon. I think you can get the same with Office 365 - but you will need to instal ADFS. Person to speak to for advice would be @apearce... -
Thanks for the mention @Ashm
