Outlook 2016, Hybrid Exchange 2013 password prompt

Ours managed fairly quickly! Didn't really hear any moaning - sometimes the dialogue box goes behind outlook so they work offline before they realise they havent had any emails in a while! -
Outlook 2016, Hybrid Exchange 2013 password prompt
Netwacky87 replied to _techie_'s topic in Office Software
We had this prior to enabling SSO and migrating from ADFS to pass-through authentication. New first time users on a desktop would get a password prompt. 99.9% of users just learnt to enter their password. Have you configured Modern Authentication on the exchange server? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/configure-exchange-server-for-hybrid-modern-authentication Also, where is your autodiscover pointing to? on premise? -
Hi All, Has anyone changed their ADFS authentication to Pass through auth? We are running hybrid exchange and want to change to Passthrough from ADFS...It looks simple enough just wondering if theres anything to note or pitfalls? Interesting to hear from someone who's done it! Ta Martin

eBay/Amazon knock off's mate, all the way. I have all smart bulbs in the house including outdoor lights. All controlled from Alexa on routines and fraction of the price of Philips Hue. I can say 'Alexa, start a movie' and it'll dim all the lights and even change the colours if you want. I paid about £12 per bulb for coloured and cheaper for just white.

We had this the other week. with 2 pupils the 'Secure Client' program locked up after their exam on the feedback. After ringing the helpdesk they wouldn't let the pupils leave the room...They kept them there for about an hour after the exam had finished. I said 'I cant keep these pupils here - they need lunch and its ridiculous...i'm basically holding them hostage! Eventually they let them go and they said their exam was fine - Luckily.

I suppose its not so much the moving date, the question being - can I do anything whilst the current person is in the house as its not my line to take over....
-
Hi all! I have bought a new house! Yay! (first time buyer and been in rented for years!) So - quick question - When planning broadband installation, how does this work? I tell current provider i'm moving and which date is my move in date and they sort everything for going live that day? Surely I can't just take over someone else's line whilst they are in the property? Thanks all! Martin

These are my notes: 1. Force a DirSync. This should force a deletion of the account in Office 365 (Azure AD) a. Move the AD account into an OU which is not being synchronized with Office 365 (Azure AD). b. Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta (Delta Sync) c. Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Initial (Full Sync) 2. Check that the account has been deleted from Azure AD, if it hasn’t, force DirSync again. Do this until AD account is removed from Azure AD 3. Use Azure AD remote PowerShell to remove the account from the user recycle bin. $UserCredential = Get-Credential Connect-MsolService -Credential $UserCredential Remove-MsolUser -UserPrincipalName ‘upn’ -RemoveFromRecycleBin –force *THIS WILL DELETE THE USER, FILES and EMAILS FROM OFFICE 365!!(!)* 4. Check through the O365 admin UI portal, that the account has gone from the recycle bin 5. Move the AD account back into an OU which is being synchronized with Office 365 (Azure AD) 6. Force DirSync. This will re-provision the account into Office 365 (Azure AD) 7. Check that msExchRecipientDisplayType is now what it should be e.g. “-2147481594”. 8. Try move mailbox again

This is whats called (well I call it) a split brain in a hybrid exchange situation - Sounds like what you have? So you have to force remove from Office 365, and then move the mailbox from Exchange Local to office 365. I have the commands somewhere i'll post them when I find them.

I seem to recall Smoothwall being able to use TLS but its a backend thing with a support call (IIRC) -

Its all to do with Smoothwall not liking TLS or something, took me AGESSSS to figure this out about 1.5 years ago! Happy New Year -
Exchange 2013 hybrid O365 - smtp outbound issue
Netwacky87 replied to _techie_'s topic in Enterprise Software
I had to do this for ours to work nicely with Smoothwall... 3 powershell cmds, obviously change the "Outbound to Office 365" to your send connector name. Set-SendConnector -Identity “Outbound to Office 365” -TlsDomain $null Set-SendConnector -Identity “Outbound to Office 365” -TlsAuthLevel $null Set-SendConnector -Identity “Outbound to Office 365” -RequireTLS $false This is on your on-premise exchange server -

Can you screenshot your exchange queue? Is it going through a smoothwall box? Are ports 25/465 open? -

Have you tried re-running the Hybrid Wizard? I had a problem when going through our smoothwall box. I had a STARTSSL error which I eventually fixed. -
Exchange 2013 hybrid O365 - smtp outbound issue
Netwacky87 replied to _techie_'s topic in Enterprise Software
Hi @_techie_ I think I had the same issue as you, just to dig a bit deeper, Is there an error on the Queue Viewer? Don't go into a message error, its on the main screen at the end of the column. -
Thats my intention. I don't plan on being here long term that works!

Honestly, I am a pretty healthy guy, never had any sort of serious issues (never been to hospital before!) Its the worst pain in the world, so debilitating! makes you feel helpless, in fact you are! Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

Hi all! Just wanted to canvas peoples' opinion on mattresses? I will explain... About 2-3 months ago I woke up to go to work and had to literally jump back on the bed as it felt like my back was going to break! Such agony! Couldn't move/walk/get up for about 5 days, I was bed bound. I had to crawl hands and knees to the loo and back whilst nearly crying with pain. Called 111 who said 'take ibuprofen' my reply was "OK, thats downstairs in a cupboard high up - How am I going to do this?" (I live alone and door was locked!) Day 6 of not moving - time for A&E walk in. Asked a friend to take me and doctor said I had pulled a muscle which holds the spine up straight! I was like Okkkk, recovery time? he said 4 months! ! So head off for private physio £38 quid a time and had about 8 sessions! All of which wasn't clearly up the root problem, it eased it but was still painful. All looked like it was getting better until a few days ago when I turned over in bed and felt something go 'pop' in my back. Here we go again...couldn't walk for 2 days. Back eventually eased off but was left with immense burning sensation down one leg, so much that I woke hourly and was almost in tears again with the pain. I associated it to Sciatica. I eventually thought i'll sleep in the spare room on a single bed...one night...It was like a miracle cure!! Everything has gone!! No Pain, No walking like i'd soiled myself, Nothing!!! Question is - Anyone got any recommendations for a new mattress? I don't want to spend a fortune as the place i'm in is a furnished rental so i'd probably have to leave it behind when I leave in circa 1 year. Its a very broad question but if anyone has an amazing mattress they can recommend. Ta Mart

macros using symbolic links to redirect home folders to network drive
Netwacky87 replied to jjohnsoncantell's topic in Mac
I hate to hijack this thread but i'm having trouble with redirecting mac desktop/documents/music etc to their relative windows share location. Our students have different locations to staff on our file server, for example: \\VM1\Staff\STAFFUSERNAME\UserArea <-Documents \\VM1\Staff\STAFFUSERNAME\Desktop <-Desktop Students have local profiles but with read only desktops to a generic share. We use Profile Manager for management. Can anyone provide a walkthrough guide to implement the script? Thanks!
