We use BSL a lot for our kit, great pricing, amazing service (if something isn't quite right, its sorted without fuss etc) Would highly recommend!!

I haven't heard anything for a while...I will ask around tomorrow but fingers crossed.

I found it to be better with this fix, kindly provided by @DrCheese but I think there is more going on...We still see issues with connectivity using UniFi & Smoothwall

@DrCheese I'm presuming the box will need another reboot following REM'ing of the 2 lines? Thanks!

Thanks for this @DrCheese! Can you give some back story to this? It seems to be a new thing over here (which seems to be getting worse!)

Nah, directly from Smoothwall UTM-10. DNS is local smoothwall box with secondary as 8.8.8.8, DNS forwarders in smoothwall are to Windows DNS...pretty simple set up really.

Morning all, Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this with Unifi kit, i'm scratching my head now and can't seem to pin it down. Randomly, Unifi AC Pro's let a client connect but does not give them internet access (Picks up DHCP lease) but cannot ping anything, internally or externally. Latest Unifi firmware on AP's and latest controller version. Sometimes its fine but often can delay a class starting properly, normally give it a few minutes and its OK. I cannot figure this one out, i'm stumped...firmware? I know unifi firmware can play up. Smoothwall for internet access. Thanks!

Has anyone reliably changed Teams groups to Dynamic teams groups based on AD Group Membership? After a bit of research it turns out the 'validate users' button on Azure doesn't work yet but often I just get 'Cannot save group' This is the syntax i'm using - user.memberof -any (group.objectId -in [‘ON-PREMISE-ID’]) Thanks!

70 AP unifi environment performance issues
Netwacky87 replied to stgoodyeara's topic in Wireless Networks
I found we experienced similar drop outs - here is some of the things i've done which has helped - Updated to latest AP/Controller firmware & Software....Unifi had some ropey firmware releases but last bunch seems to have been pretty good. - Check wiring. I had one AP which was full 1GB and all looks fine but it was dropping packets all the time. When i removed the offending AP, no issues at all, clients just connected to closest AP - Start up AP's that are close to each other one after the other. I don't believe (IMO) that the scan for channels works well. I read that if all the APs start up together they all get the same channel regardless (dunno how true this is tbh!) -
Afternoon all! Anyone recommend any fibre installers (and cat6 if possible) in the Birmingham/West Midlands area. Looking at some projects that will need fibre runs. Thanks! Martin

I think @DaveTheTech may be referring to this post? http://www.edugeek.net/forums/scripts/222716-ps-script-help-onedrive-migration.html -
You can still get older firmware via the main website, https://www.ui.com/download/unifi/

Like others, had it enabled for years! Saves us about 3.6TB across our file server, circa 42% reduction! #winner!

MPG bothers me but maybe I just need to get used to it on that type of car...think you're lucky to get 42mpg in a saloon (thats in the volvo s90) I like the sound of the Volvo S90 but is it too boring? I also like the Jaguar XE which will be more fun but lower mpg! Like I say, I feel like electric is just a few years off from becoming mainstream. I'd also have to get a power point fitted outside.
-
Budget is around 20k, will be part ex'ing in the Audi I'm more of a saloon kinda guy, doing about 35 miles a day so not sure diesel is the best choice anymore.

Totally, they need to come on a few more years for me though!

Hi all, Firstly, I love my cars! I love gadgets on them, I love a summers day polishing! (i only like Auto's - once you've had an auto, you're never going back!) Recently had a BMW 4 Series (420d), but that was too low for me but loved the way it drove. Swapped that for an Audi A4 1.4 TSI Petrol as I thought diesels are now dead-ish. But the gearbox on this is incredibly frustrating and find my self changing gear manually via the paddles and find it quite laggy! What do I swap it for whilst it has value? Jaguar XE 2.0 Petrol (plenty of gadgets) Volvo S90 (it drives itself like a Tesla! Love this but not sure of the styling!) I know its my own taste etc but open to suggestions? Be interesting to hear off people if they have either! All the best!

Do we have anything to clarify this? I can't find anything publicly?

Update: So - all working now, took a good couple of hours. Installed controller at v6.0.36 and earlier noticed there was an update so installed v6.0.46. Same issue. It prompted at the top to go back to 'classic settings' so pushed this and there are a lot more options in this GUI. I recreated the Networks and SSID's. It also asked me for the gateway with subnet mask of the network so input this (couldnt do this in the new GUI) and it all came to life!! All working!! Thanks for your help guys!

Hi All, Just looking into rolling out UniFi so bought 3 AP-Pro's. Straight swap of existing wifi. I cannot get RAIDUS vlan's to work, it always ends up on the flat network (default vlan) RADIUS is using Smoothwall as is DHCP. Anyone got any pointers? All looks fine but cannot figure it out for the life of me!! Thanks! Edit - using WPA2 works fine, just RADIUS is an issue.
