Come on guys! It's my first Stocktober... Isn't it only fair if I get the PS4... ?

This is great news! Re-installed Cyanogen last week on my SGS2 after having a ROM that randomly restarted every few hrs and had various other bugs (was still in alpha stages so I should've known) and the battery life has improved drastically! I also forgot how much faster the phone ran with it on. If people start using it more, then you never know, manafacturers may realise it's a winner and stop cramming so much bloatware on their devices... unlikely, but still...

I know I'm just rambling to myself here, but I'e managed to get a step further. The submenu is now showing as horiziontal (wrong HTML tags linking it to the incorrect part of the CSS document), but all the links are grouped together. If you go to the gallery page and hover over gallery, you'll see what I mean. Can anyone help? Thanks

Is there anyway the above code I have posted can be easily converted into the tab menu style? Implementing the code in the link you mentioned destroys the styling of the links on the site, and I'm struggling to get it back to how it should look once I've done so

Hi, I'm developing a site for someone and am trying to get the menu to expand to a sub-menu on scroll over. I've currently got it working as can be seenhere by scrolling over the gallery link at the top, except I'm wanting it to be horizontal like the main menu above it. Anyone suggest a code for it? Well, with all the dodgey content on here I'm not surprised! This proves my point really. Just because it's a forum, it doesn't mean it's going to be full of people swearing and sharing illegal content. And, if the one the ISPs are forced to put in place is anything like the mobile one I was talking about, or the ones used in schools, it's likely some self help sites such as Talk To Frank will be blocked, whether by accident or not, for containing drug references. It's never going to be a fool proof system, so therefore, in my opinion, education is still the best solution.

The blocking of sites to protect children should be down to the parents, or be an opt-in feature at the least as not everyone has the knowledge to set a filtering system up. I'm all for the blocking of adult content to protect children, but that's where it should end, though I'm sure it won't. It'll only be a matter of time, as people have mentioned, before they're blocking social networking sites and photography sites due to the possibility of adult content. Then slowly, I can see sites with forums where users have had a rant and moan about the government being classed as "terrorism" or "discrimination" and getting blocked too. Think about it, a lot of sites could in one way or another be argued to have adult content on it, and therefore be blocked by default. If anyone has ever taken a mobile phone contract out and not asked for the content block to be removed, you'll know what I mean - the amount of sites that are blocked by that is silly, I think it was with Vodafone at one point they even blocked ebay! They should tackle the dodgey stuff at the source, blocking it is not going to help. If someone wants to see it, they're going to find a way to do so! Then, concentrate on educating the parents on the dangers of the internet so they can personally put measure in place to protect their own children.

You've got it all wrong, the children's behaviour is based purely on their names - didn't you listen to the nice lady on the video?

As some of you have said, I agree that after hearing a name, we're likely to build an image and have an opinion on how the person is going to be - that's normal, that's human and I don't think we can help it... But, you can't just instantly dismiss someone due to their name. They haven't chosen to be called that, and at the age we're talking about, it's not like they could change it even if they wanted (not that I'm saying they should). This woman is a complete idiot, and we can only hope her children realise it before they become set in her ways.

In terms of the performance and the way it runs android, I think it's a great phone! In terms of the speakers, I just don't think they're as ground breaking as HTC made them out to be - the quality is good don't get me wrong, it's not often you get good quality stereo speakers on a phone, but I was expecting them to be louder too. IMO, the placement of the speakers also makes it a bit awkward to hold, but then again I suppose that's all down to the personal preference. Love the zoe function on the camera though - was very impressed with that!

The HTC one is pretty good actually, but mainly for the nifty camera tricks it has up its sleeve. Other than that I'd say nothing to show off. I don't reckon much to the front facing speakers on them if I'm honest...

Yeah, I've been using android since it was released and am a big fan - much prefer it to iOS, and as you say, I think it's down to the flexibility and all the nitty-gritty stuff you can access in comparison to iOS. I was more wondering how the phone its self runs - anyone tried anything demanding with it? Can it manage it? It being a flagship device with such good specs, I'm expecting some interesting development for it... Anyone tried the Samsung eye-tracky-turny-pagey thing ™?

Well that's not very good I'm sure I'd never fully use the octa-core but it'd be good to have it for the geek value to be honest... If you press the home button on the Wireless page during setup, it should give you an Advanced Settings option, then join the wireless of your choice, click the little blue triangle at the side of the wireless network you're connected to and add the proxy settings in the relevent fields (does that even make sense? ) That works on the iPad Mini anyway...

The instruction manual's worth a read too! Not too bad a translation but there are some little phrases that made me chuckle.
