I'm running through YHGFL at this end (Yorkshire). It's working on our proxy and our unfiltered connection - could it be something in your browser settings? ActiveX control or anything? I don't use AOL so can't say I've ever had the exact issue, but on other sites I've had similar issues. I tend to find going through the security settings in the browser and allowing different things to run one at a time is usually your best bet.

All working fine here in IE & Chrome - logged in and loaded mailbox from both links.

It's not too bad for games such as Angry Birds and Temple Run (I have to turn notifications off for the latter) but for games such as NFS or GTA I've no chance... Although I'd imagine the Voyager would handle it. It's similar specs to my SGS2 and that runs them well. The build quality isn't bad for an £70/80 bit of kit. Feels a little plasticy, but that's because the back cover is plastic - but looks quite good and feels pretty solid. The screen isn't amazing, but I've happily sat and watch movies/TV on it without any issues. It's a sustained a good couple of drops from hand height onto concrete and kept running. I've had mine apart and it all seems pretty compact and tidy on the inside too (I tried flashing it, bricked it, and needed to disconnect the battery).

I got a Sumvision Astro + Plus from Ebuyer - I think I paid £70 after cashback with Quidco. It's not amazing, but for £70 it's great. Manages everything I want it to do, can be a bit slow at Web Browsing with the standard browser, but if I use Firefox it's fine. The Astro+ specs aren't as good as this either - 1.2GHz single core CPU and 1GB RAM + 8GB storage - Not sure on the GPU though, but can't imagine it being quad like the Voyager. If you're not expecting top notch performance, and will only be using it for media playback / web browsing etc I'd say go for it! I did mine the same as you - via zenos - but you're correct in what you're saying: If you did your A+ exam before 2011, then you're certified for life, but if you certified in 2011 or later, you must take a refresher exam every 3 years or you're not technically certified anymore: CompTIA A+ Certification Personally, I think it's a good starting point but it is very basic - everything within this course I already knew before taking the course, but it's just a matter of knowing it how they want you to know it. Although as has been mentioned, there are some questionable answers within the exam, but there's no reason you couldn't self teach.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of these cables from with the VGA on the end for graphics cards as pointed in the picture. As the text states, we're having trouble fitting these cards into low profile machines, as the low profile bracket seperates the VGA from the card so it sits in it's own expansion slot, but the cable the VGA is attached toi isn't long enough for the VGA to reach the slot (if that makes sense). Here are some more picture to try and explain what I mean: This is what we're trying to get hold of - only longer (if possible) The side that connects to the graphics card has room for 16 pins, but only uses 15 like the VGA. And just a few photos to show it won't fit: As you can see, if I put the VGA plate in place first, then try connecting the cable to the card, it's not far off: The computer we have is a Fujitsu Esprimo E3510, and the cards we've used so far are a Club 3D GForce GT610 and an Asus GEForce GT610 - essentially the same but we were hoping one would fit better than the other (it didn't). If not, can anyone suggest a graphics card with similar specs to these, needs to be low profile that either will fit or has the VGA directly on the card? I've never used Home Access unfortunately but it doesn't sound like it's a problem with that if it works for everything else. Have you tried using Firefox or Chrome for android instead of the standard broswer? The standard browser is ok but I've found that Firefox and Chrome tend to work better (firefox especially).

Not sure if you've looked, but if you go to the browser, then menu and choose downloads - it will give you a list of your download history and status. On some devices and android versions (such as the SGS2 on 4.0) it will give an error such as memory full or connection lost. It might be a vague error messgae but could point you in the right direction. Failing that have you tried a good old fashioned restart? My android devices sometimes have download troubles and this seems to do the job - not quite sure what causes it though.

After reading a lot lately on my tablet, via the Kindle app, I have decided it's a good idea to buy an e-reader, but can't make my mind up between the two, Kindle White Paper or a KoboGlo? I've read both good and bad reviews and can't make my mind up on either - I definitely like the idea of one of the two due to the variable backlight (that isn't a backlight... or something...) Anyone offer any advice? Preferably from experience I'm more interested in the reading experience on the device, as appose to it's connectivity options and customer support etc. Thanks!

Are we talking about the 360?? If so: As it says in the article, copying the games aren't as straight forward as you'd want with an XBOX, although I'm pretty sure you can get software to copy them nowadays (bearing in mind that article is from 2004 which was before the 360s release date) then you've got to buy discs that work as they're quite picky by brand (verbatamin tend to be good ones). Not only this, but if you flash your consle, there's a high chance of MS banning your console from online play. I've not looked at it for a while but last I knew it was quite awkward to avoid as you had to be constantly updating your firmware (maybe something's changed recently that makes this easier). But I have heard reports of many people's XBOXs scratching their discs, although I've never personally experienced it.

I was under the impression development had stopped with Cyanogen? Don't take it as gospel though - if it hasn't that's being the best ROM I've had on my previous phones. I've still got the S2 unfortunately so I couldn't give you much info that I knew was correct so wouldn't want to sell you a ROM that wasn't very good. I'd reccomend a read around XDA though, they're always quite happy to help and point in the right direction - just be sure to get the right ROM for the right phone as there are 2 or 3 versions of the S3 with slightly different hardware from what I've being told, but 8months into my contract with an S2, I've not being looking at the S3s too much, wouldn't want to get too envious Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 - xda-developers < Direct link to S3 forum

I've managed to take a look and it has but for some reason the relevant menu won't open. I'll try a restart at some point. I have managed to solve the problem... Kind of. Within the program, you have to archive the data to your PC to get the .VID file, but then you need to archive the .VID file from within the software to a memory stick. What it then does on the memory stick is installs a little program along with the .VID file and you launch the exe to play any of the .VID files you have archived from the DVR... If that makes sense? A good idea in a way but it would be much simpler to just output and MP4/AVI file if you were to ask me. Thanks for all your help. I'll just have to output to a Memory stick and copy the program onto the computers for those that require it or onto a DVD ^^

Reminds me of the packaging of an Andorid Tablet we bought a few weeks back. Whether the company is Chinese or not they knew what they were doing with a company name and strapline line that.

Just what I was going to suggest. I know it's a faff too but I'd not bother backing up apps or settings so this way if it is an app or settings causing it you'll be able to tell when you install the app / apply the setting. If not get it back to Samsung - I think the battery's only have 6months warranty though as appose to the 12 the handset will have. Failing that have you tried a custom ROM? Could be something wrong in the new Jelly Bean release.

I've only tried with bog standard notepad and it locks up the PC. I will try with a better text editor. If you try going to the IP in the web browser, the Plush software is launched. The DVRs are in a cupboard I don't have the keys to so will need to get access to have a look what I can do from the DVR its self as it's a new system we've had installed. No such look. Have you got a mobile antivirus installed? I've read that there are some malicous apps circulating at the moment that run processes in the background to drain your battery. Nope I forgot to mention I'd tried renaming it to .avi / .mp4 / .mpg / .wmv (the more common ones) but I never thought of .MOV. Just tried it with no luck. Thanks anyway

Hi, I'm trying to put some CCTV footage from the system onto disc to be viewed by SLT, but the issue is when I run the backup to get a file from the DVR to be viewed, the file is a .VID file. After some research I discovered this was a general file extension for a video of any format and should open with most video players, but it doesn't. I've tried VLC, WMP, Realplayer and Quicktime to no avail. I've also tried converting it with WinFF with no luck. The file may need to be viewed offsite so just streaming it from the DVR isn't an option, plus the footage will only be on there for a limited time. The CCTV software also doesn't have a playback option for saved footage, or an option to save as another format (that I can see). The software is Plush264 that we use for the CCTV here, there's another called QCMS installed but it doesn't seem to have as many features. If anyone has suggestions on how the .VID file can be viewed or converted to a viewable file I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance!
