My 2011 mac mini has been rock solid since I had it and got apple care for it and it still runs great, could do with upgrading the hard drive to an SSD though but won't have money for a while so just leaving it as is for now

Can't say I have seen any consoles or come to think of it anything else having a triangular shaped heatsink with a fan blowing cool air down the central area to keep the metallic fins cool(er) Had a 12" G4 notebook, 2008 Mac Pro with two 2.8 Ghz Quad Core's, currently have a 2011 mac mini ( without an optical drive ). Only issue I had was with the G4 notebook due to the pin snapping inside of the dc in cable and had to replace that , one order later from ebay and some torx / philips screw drivers etc and I had it repaired after using a combination of ifixit.net and youtube and then sold it on ebay. 2008 Mac Pro I sold on ebay as needed money to get a car

I have some questions with regards to this if that is ok Antonio ? 1.) How are you supposed to apply the MCX Settings from the Mac Server ( presuming it is in a magic triangle setup ) to the clients, do you need to add or run a utility to add all the default mcx files into workgroup manager to be applied to the clients ? 2.) Do you need to add the client computers into workgroup manager by there mac addresses of the physical LAN Connections of each client ? 3.) I presume the order that the different servers are added onto each client makes a difference ie binding to OD First and then AD or is it the other way around or what exactly ? Did you have any guide(s) or advise on if I was starting from scratch things that need to be done to setup the OD Mac server and how to get the magic triangle setup and also how to correctly apply mcx settings to the mac clients etc etc ? @AntonioRocco

In the registry if you right click on the Internet Settings Directory and go to permissions, might be worth while checking against a working machine what the permissions are meant to be and ensure that the permissions are set correctly Wondering if the system or relevant groups have the wrong persmissions and when you try and alter the proxy settings via GPO or manually etc it may be sending the relevant commands to update this registry key however due to the permissions being wrong it may be failing to actually change the relevant sub registry keys within the Internet Settings directory Just wondering, are there any events with the date and time of when you try to manually change the proxy settings within event viewer ( so if you try and manually change the proxy settings and then go into event viewer to see if there are any error messages ) Control Panel --> Administrative tools --> Event Viewer or from the run dialog or search programs and files item in the start menu if vista / windows 7 type eventvwr.msc

Just wanted to post this on here for future reference, the guide goes through re-flowing the solder which I advised against and only to do that as a very very last resort if cleaning and re applying thermal paste did not help / make any difference etc. Obviously cleaning off the old thermal paste which was clearly not doing much in the way of transferring the heat from the GPU to the heatsink etc and re applying new thermal paste has allowed the GTX 280 to continue to work correctly without issue(s) Most likely an obvious thing from @Rawns comment but just on the off chance someone finds this article in the future, Don't want them killing there graphics card due to trying to do a solder re-flow first.

If not a phone then a MiFi as then you only pay for the sim contract which will only be used for data, I have an iPad 3rd gen cellular with Three and they charge £29 a month which gives me 15gb of data per month, obviously this is consumer contract so for education or business may differ depending on if the school etc pay for it Regardless of going with Three or whichever network provider which can be used for 5 devices at the same time : Huawei E5331 Value MiFi.

If you all go to this group question, lots of things you can do : https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/c8xqjKOTuR8 I do believe there was a comment somewhere that mentioned about renaming the folders / directories ( making them shorter ) thus bringing the character count down to hopefully below 255 which will then help with deleting files, failing that you should be able to cut and paste or move the directories into a folder on the root of the C Drive to try and make the path shorter as not so many directories / sub directories etc

As per this previous question on edugeek : http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/87563-long-file-paths-solutions.html Long Path Tool: Path Too Long | Filename too long | Filename is too long | Path too long utility

Are there different type of PDF files? (even though they are all .pdf)

What about locked and unlocked ones, do they count ? -
Or in the washing machine / dish washer / tumble dryer or the sorts. Got a two year old and he on the odd occasion throws stuff in the bin or the sorts Slipped down the side or back of the sofa between the cushions, under the sofa , fallen behind the tv stand ( unless the telly is wall mounted of course ) in which case ignore that. Although we normally ask him a few times and then he goes off and gets the remote for us
