Google Grouping not working as expected
edutech4schools replied to edutech4schools's topic in Cloud Services
They should not need to click on a link in an email it should just appear in the shared documents folder. -
I wanted to create a group (Governors) so the office can share docs with that group. I created a Governors group in the admin panel / groups tab and if I check a governors user account it lists the Group. Problem is if the office share a document with the governors group and then we log in as a governor nothing is shared. Any ideas?

Sims and FMS remote access questions.
edutech4schools replied to edutech4schools's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
Cheers. Was thinking desktop would be best. Never having set up RD Web Access should it be installed on to my outward facing server that the staff use to access HAP+. I presume so but will need some guidance setting this up. -
Hi, I have HAP+ Home Access Plus+ working (SSL file access) and my next step is to give 1 or 2 staff members (small primary) access to Sims and FMS. Looks like RD Web Access will be the way to go but open to suggested alternatives. Q1. Can Sims and FMS run as a remote App or is it best as a remote desktop? Q2. Should RD Web Access role be installed on the same server as my HAP+ and IIS install?

What questions or info would you like in the form?
-
I think you can make the output public. I am busy at the moment but on Thursday I will create a test one for you to try.
-
Do not forget it is all web based, so you can create a form and publish it as a web page, the all the user needs to see is the web page with your created form.
-
You are probably correct. So it should be fine to run both on the same server?

Am I ok from a security point of view to install WSUS on to my HAP server. WSUS uses IIS default website when installed using default settings, is this ok?

edutech4schools replied to edutech4schools's topic in Home Access Plus+
Just done a fix on the .net install which seems to have fixed this issue. -
Another one for the Google apps. It is free and can easilly be set so only staff have access. It can be attached to your existing website if needed.

Hello, I have already installed hap succesfully on to one 2008r2 server but am getting errors on a new server install. Main error Not sure if this will help but when I go in to IIS and click on bindings on the faulty HAP machine it lists only http and https where as on the working server it also lists net.tcp net.pipe net.msmq msmq.formatname. I have also removed the IIS role and re-installed. Hope someone can help.
