Hi all, Having a problem in one of my schools, with Teams not updating itself. I have checked applocker and the Teams folder is added, as is the Update.exe. Hi all, Python was installed on the network, but students are messing with the OS module. How do I go about removing so it cannot be used? Also students are using python to call CMD and powershell, even though they are disabled normally. How would I go about disabling that ability? Thanks

Hi yeah the space was an error in the copy and paste, it is fine in my config. @Chaniel thanks for that, I am trying it with out the source now, from the command line and it is installing. So will try again with source files on a machine after. How do you install via GPO? Was thinking I would just do it through a batch file? Thanks for all your help so far.

Hi all, Hope you are well Trying to get Office 2019 sorted across the schools I work at, and it is driving me bonkers. Why have Microsoft made it so much more work? I have downloaded the Deployment Tool, ran setup /download configuration.xml and it downloads fine. But when I go to install the software I either get an error code: 0-2039 or if I take out the PIDKEY part, nothing happens. Here is my configuration file: Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, Sorry this is a personal post, but my wife's laptop is giving up the ghost, it is a HP and she has had it about 3 years. She is a heavy user, internet browsing, movie watching and office applications. She is a writer so gets some heavy use. She has a gaming PC, but likes to sit in the conservatory to write so needs a laptop. Can anyone recommend a durable laptop around £700-£750 that might stand up to the use? Hi all, I never got around to setting up a firewall at home. We are in the processing of moving into our own home, so really want to get a decent home network setup, one of the things I am thinking about is a firewall. I have 3 kids all have access to the internet. 1. Is it worth having a separate firewall at home? 2. Is separate PC or VM sufficient? I am looking at PFSense, so would like filtering for the kids, adblocker, the ability to limit the time on the internet if i need it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all, I am in the process of moving from Xibo to ShowPoint for digital signage. The school it is for, the users are not that IT literate and have found Xibo impossible to a point that I end up doing it, but I am not onsite all the time, as I look after 2 other schools, so want something simple. To anyone who is or has used ShowPoint how did you setup the PC? Is it better to just be standalone or domain built? As I know it needs to read the file locally I was going to share a folder from the local C drive, for SLT to upload PPTs. Any tips would be apppreciated. Thanks

Found the cause, it was a firewall problem on the DCs with STAS on. All sorted now.

Hi, I did not set this up. But we are using Sophos AD Sync and STAS is running. It's just really odd that it was working one minute then not the next. I am sure that I haven't changed anything.

I can ping dns name from any device, but it will only work with Chrome or Edge unless i put in ipaddress:8090. Any help please.

Hi all, We have installed a new Sophos XG firewall a couple of weeks ago. All was going well until last Thursday, when not all, but alot of users where not able to go straight to the internet. We have STAS installed and running. When they use chrome or edge they get a 'The wifi/network you are using may require you to visit its login page.' If I go to internet explorer the Sophos login box appears, the user signs in and we are away. I have noticed that if we replace the DNS name on the error page in Chrome or Edge with the box IP address the Sophos box appears. So we have 2 issues: 1. Users are not automatically able to get onto the internet without signing into the Sophos box. 2. The Sophos box does not show in Chrome or Edge unless the IP address is put in instead of the DNS name. Any ideas? Many thanks

I have got HP drives, but they are not on the compatibility list, so think the server could be sulking.

Hi all, I am turning our HP Proliant server into a backup server, so brought 2 x 6TB hard drives. I installed the drives but they are not being recognized by the array when I go into configuration. When I turn on the server the new drive LEDs light up then go off. The storage controller is a B120i, I have updated the firmware, BIOS etc. The drives I ordered where on the server hard drive compatibility list, but the drives I have received are not. Could this be the reason? Cheers

Hi, Haven't heard back from Gigabyte yet, but spoken to RS-Online and after some research they have recommended a capacitor that will work. Will hold off to see if I hear back from Gigabyte just to play it safe, but it gives me an option. Cheers.

Sounds like a plan, thanks for that mate. The other capacitors along the top are LF 270 C 13P. If I don't hear anything back will go with these.

I have emailed the seller of these boards and Gigabyte themselves, whether I will get a response from either is another question.

Hi all, I have a GIGABYTE GA-Z68P-DS3 motherboard with a missing capacitor cap. I am happy to replace myself but need to find the rating of the capacitor to get a replacement. This is the one missing, does anyone have this board and can let me know, or tell me the best way to find out? No pics I find have a good enough resolution to see. Cheers
