Iv'e found that the 263's have stopped working but the 2040's are still working.

If you have applied the update, do you need to disable SMB1? Just wondering as disabling SMB1 is giving me headaches, but if I have to I would rather disable it than be open to threats.

Scan to file has stopped working on our Toshiba e-Studio MFPs and ABTutor remote deployment has stopped working since disabling SMB1.

Hi all, Just wanted to check what your sites do when it comes to staff devices? Every member of the teaching staff and TA's have laptops that they keep with them, these are getting on a bit now as we brought them in 2010, so I am having endless complaints that they are slow. Also in the last 2 weeks I have had to take 2 laptops (these were newer ones brought 3 years ago) in due to smashed screens and as I have looked around other laptops, I have seen broken laptop cases, broken DVD drives, screws missing from laptop bases and screen surrounds etc. I just do not have the funds to keep replacing or repairing laptops due to age or staff not taking care of them. So want to put together a proposal to put out desktops to each room and only staff that desperately need a laptop get one. Before I do this though wanted to find out what others do? Cheers

Hi, The Head was having issues with his shared calendar not syncing to his PA's outlook, when anything was added. So to resolve this I turned off Cached Exchange Mode. This resolved the calendar issue, but now the heads PA is having issues with emails taking ages to send, receive, any time she clicks something it says not responding. Everything was working fine before I turned off cached mode. Is there a way to have calendar with cached mode turned off, but not emails? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi all, I am preparing to roll out Skype, so that all staff have a way to communicate with each other if they do not have a phone. One thing im trying to do is to stop the message alert popup appearing in the bottom right hand corner. I would prefer just the Skype logo to flash when a message has been received, so that it doesn't not appear if a teacher is showing something on the screen and disturb their lesson. This is quite an important option is it possible? We used to use OpenFire and this was an option in this, but as we have Skype available through Office 365 makes sense to use. Cheers

Hi all, I am setting up Spiceworks again, to use as inventory and helpdesk. Spiceworks inventory used to have a main group menu when you entered it allowing you to organise the devices, it was easier to look at. It looked like the Inventory summary you get on the dashboard on a bigger scale. Has this gone completely or is there an option to get it back? Cheers

Came in this morning and it was working.... One more questions. A while ago I trialed OpenFire for IMing and it has the ability to have the client flash on the taskbar when a new message has been received. Can Skype on 365 do this as if a teacher is teaching a lesson we do not want a potential private message showing up? Note: Just thought would have to select Do Not Disturb on their Skype client?

Hi, I am currently testing Skype for Business from our Office 365 setup, before distributing across the school. I have created an Attendance distribution group, that can contact teachers about attendance issues and vice'a versa. But when I add the group to Skype and expand it I get: Any ideas? Cheers

Hello, I have been asked by the governors to look at options and costings for setting up secure online data storage, to house key school documents and governance papers, so they can be accessed by the governors externally. Would Dropbox suffice? Or due to the nature of the documents that will be housed should we look at something else? Any recommendations? All the best Sean
