Nice try but no 😂 IE is not full screen top bar is there.

On one teachers laptop the bottom of IE 11 is hidden behind the bottom taskbar. I know I have had this before but for the life of me I can't remember what I did. Any ideas? Cheers

Found the solution to this if anyone else is having an issue. It was only affecting a couple of machines and for some reason the Google Internet Authority Certificate was not being trusted and placed into Trusted Root Certificates. I exported the certificate for Google (GEOTrust Global) from a working machine and imported into non-working machine and it is now all good. Not sure why the certificate is not importing automatically though. Task for another day, me thinks!!!!!

It's only happening on a few computers, so not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, Over the summer, our assembly hall has been used by a local company (not naming who). Our powered assembly hall projector screen has been ripped from the roller (which is on the ceiling) and is currently laying in a crumple on the stage. Some of the hooks that hold the screen to the cable on the side of the screen have been broken and there is a slight rip on the side. When you push the button you can hear the motor trying to pull up the screen. I think that it will have to be replaced, but I have been asked to see if I can get it repaired. Any ideas of a company that can do this? We are in Gloucestershire. Cheers

Hi all, Hope everyone's summer plans are going well. First thing I just want to thank Al_NetSupport, I have got NetSupport DNA installed and running, what a bit of kit, still finding my way through it. Does anyone know if i can setup an alert if a LAN cable is unplugged via DNA? Cheers

Found out the issue, hadn't installed all the updates before I made the image, must have missed something important. All working now.

Still having issues with Windows 7 Enterprise not allowing software to install keep getting the same error in GPO Results: The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. Know these work as Win 7 Pro installs them fine. Don't know whats happening. Would be happy to use Win 7 Pro, but can't get a gpo to work to block powershell tried SRP but not having any of it. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok!!!!!! Reimaged PC with Windows 7 Pro and the software in the GPO installed no problem, though on GPResults wizard it gives me the same error. I hate computers i'm joining the circus as a lion tamer. :frusty:

Reinstalling Win7Pro image, not sure what difference it will make but the GPOs were working fine on this.

I have checked the shares and can access them from the PC. The right permissions are there and I have ensured that all the GPO are pointing to the UNC of the MSI. Still not happening. Please help.

Hi mate, I have looked at what you suggested but its still not working. I have removed some GPOs and seeing if I can identify whats going on. It was all working so not sure what is happening.

Hi, the software installer GPO on my server 2008r2 is failing. On the PC event viewer I am getting this error: The computer '' preference item in the 'SoftwareInstalls {D41C7433-9DFC-4385-A97B-C8AC2BACF97E}' Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x8007052e Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.' This error was suppressed. The PC is running Windows 7 Enterprise. It was running Windows 7 Pro, but I wanted to use applocker and bitlocker so remade the base image with Enterprise. The PC I am using I use for testing images, GPOs etc before putting them out in production. All the other group policies install fine it is just this. The GPO results on the Server 2008r2 machine says: Software Installation Failed 19/07/2017 11:36:15 Software Installation failed due to the error listed below. The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. Additional information may have been logged. Review the Policy Events tab in the console or the application event log for events between 19/07/2017 11:35:34 and 19/07/2017 11:36:15. Any ideas? Cheers Sean

We are currently using Eclipse2 (old version have been using it for a few years now), but would like to look at an online version to allow student access for book reviews etc - I know MLS do Eclipse.net but was looking for alternatives. Hi guys, Installed the network install of Autograph v3.3 and running it from a share, but get a Visual C++ runtime error. Tried just normal install on server and sharing shortcut, it runs fine on server but when I run from shortcut on Win7 x64 I get the same error. Any ideas? Cheers

Hi ht6, Sorry probably already done this, but have you tried restarting the server? Whenever I get issues with Backup Exec normally a restart solves it. All the best Sean

Thanks to all who have contacted me, for the moment until I know more re budgets I am having a play with setting up GLPI in a Ubuntu 17.04 VM, have got it all installed but am recieveing this error in glpi install? Any ideas? Cheers

Hi Al, It is solely the IT side of assets that I am looking at. I have looked at Netsupport DNA and it looks good, but of course the money side is a big thing with budgets at the moment. What pricing are we looking at for this mate?

Hi, At wits end. After reaching 400 assets on Spiceworks, trying to add 401 is not happening, it flakes out on me and crashes. So I think I (and the school) are going to have to stop messing with free(open source) solutions and buy something decent. I know this has been discussed before (many times), but is there something people could recommend? Either that or I return to an Excel doc or give GLPI and OCS/Fusion another chance? Is it worth having IT Asset Management and Discovery in the same package? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Sean
