We have tried the contact number on the website and spoken to 4 different people, they all say I need to speak to somebody else and that they will get them to phone me, but not hearing anything back. Had staff using the Burconix Change Password utility, but recently been getting this issue. Updated to the new version, but still getting the same. Any ideas? Cheers

Hi all, Got a new student that needs to use dictation through Microsoft Word to type out his coursework. Only thing is the we keep getting an error saying "Dictate needs internet connection to work. Please connect to the internet." I assume this is a firewall/proxy issue. Does anyone know what needs to be open to allow this to work? Many thanks

Hi all, Got some new computers in today and went to start loading them with SCCM (not used before new school I am working at uses it. PXE booted now I am getting this "there are no task sequences available for this computer". Stuck to be honest, as said don't know SCCM. Bring back MDT and WDS anyday. Any help would be appreciated. Hello all, Hope everyone is having a good summer. The head of IT has built an intranet page for staff, just a basic page with links on. The server its on is webserver, but he wants the intranet to be called dashboard I have created a DNS name for dashboard to the server ip address. But when we create a SS Certificate as its wanted to be https, the certificate is for webserver rather than dashboard so we get a certificate error. Is there a way to create a certificate for dashboard? Whats the best way to sort this? Am i missing something obvious? Cheers

I have tried the options but the bios won't even recognise the USB, in the boot menu of the BIOS all I get is boot manager. How can I put this politely, I am not a big fan of Acer as it is and these devices have in no way changed my view.

I am putting an ISO on the USB stick using Rufus.

Hi all, I have been installing GLPI 9.3 to have a play, but then realised that the OCS plugin only goes to 9.2. I have heard that a plugin is not needed, but not sure how to get data imported into GLPI. Has anyone else seen this or had a play? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi all, This is probably aimed mainly at Gloucestershire schools, but does anyone know if the SIMS database is still supposed to be being backed up via the SQLBAK script in Menubat? As ours are failing and I just wanted to check before I started to have a play if SIMS have introduced another way to backup? Cheers

Hi all, With regards to student usernames, I have been doing the same thing for 10 years and it probably the same for a number of years before that. At the moment we do first two letters of firstname and surname, but this has been causing issues for a while and since we started giving student email accounts and using ADConnect its been getting messy. So I have playing with the idea of changing student usernames to intake year, surname and first two letter of first name to tidy up, so for instance 18BloggsJo. I was just wondering what others do with student usernames? Staff are currently firstname.surname to match their email accounts. Cheers
