Did anybody experience problems updating to the latest version this week? Ours won't upgrade and i've had two different sets of instructions on how to fix it, both full of conflicting information. It didn't help that this occurred when we were performing some changes to our web filter so I thought it was that causing the problem.

Does anyone know of an easy was to list all the parents that have signed up and list those who haven't? I can bring up all the users if I go to manage users > Unregister users but I can't highlight all these and copy into an excel sheet because of how their website is built. I need to compare who has signed up and who hasn't so a letter can be sent to those parents to try and encourage them to use it.

That's daft especially as staff can sign in with Office 365. Students don't use class charts here just staff but that seems a little daft.

If you turn off 'SIMS Online Services' and then turn it back on again it forces through a synchronisation too. I find this useful when wanting to synchronise our assessment templates from SIMS without waiting until the next day or when changing parent email address etc... We use the full parent app but it will work in the same way. I must say there's not much help online but there isn't a great deal you can configure anyway. It's mainly off and on switches to the various areas in the app.

Can't you add a desktop shortcut to an MMC console pointing at the active directory OU? Just add permissions to that OU to allow the user to edit.

@themightymrp tested this with me and it only showed up on a non Office 365 system. Do you have a gmail account you can test it with?

Can you screenshot your settings on step 14 please?

Have you tried sending it to your personal account rather than a work one? Depending on how you have configured your rule, if it's Internal it won't encrypt.

Hi i've just tested this from the web mail client and it seemed to work exactly the same for me. Are you sending it external or to another internal email account in your domain?

I've worked in schools and had experiences from both sides. The school I work at currently has 1:2:1 laptops and I would go back to a fixed computer per room tomorrow. Damage to laptops is a big problem but it's also a pain when teachers have the machines off site during the holidays and we can't reimage and test deployments properly. I've also had to start looking additional steps to secure those devices for GDPR.

The email I got mentioned existing SIMS ID users could log in but didn't mention anything about registering as a new user so maybe they are phasing it out and passing the responsibility onto the big providers for usernames and passwords?

I was told that you can't use SIMS ID to log into parent app and that you must use one of the other providers.

Hi all. Do you know where to get these results for key stage 5 students as our FFT only goes to Key Stage 4?

If you are only sending it to someone within your domain can you not just store it on a local network drive rather than uploading it online?

From what I can see with parent app you can't currently monitor 2 children from different schools under the same email account which is annoying. With regards to data collection are you completely replacing paper forms or do they still need to be sent out and collected? I would like year 8 and onwards to update info on the app and Year 7 to be gathered via paper copy?

Our support company are looking into this. As far as i'm aware they need separate accounts at the minute.

Just to update if I manually type in https://outlook.office.com/owa in IE it actually works but if I click the shortcut on our Intranet which points to the same url it doesn't. I have tried In private browsing and that too seemed to work. It doesn't seem to be for all users although it does gradually seem to be becoming more wide spread around school. It's puzzling me that's for sure. I've not tried the F12 option but the pop up that opens doesn't seem to like to be refreshed by the looks of it and I can't tell if when I click the url and press enter if it's actually doing anything.

Hi CP, thanks for the reply. Some machines do have smart ink but others don't by looking at it so sadly I don't think it's that. I'm wondering if it's something to do with how the tabbed browsing works. I've had it where I can type in office.outlook.com in the first tab and it work fine but when opening the exact same URL from our Intranet page shortcut it decides not to work. Thanks, Jonny
