I wouldn't have thought it would cause issues, though you might want to disable it with a local group policy on a machine to test it. It's more likely security I would have thought, can the staff user do run as administrator?

I would say that a complete loss of the entire site would render most disaster recovery plans pointless because you would claim on insurance and then start over and do things differently. I suppose you could plan for that eventuality too but it then becomes very dependant on the decisions being made as to building layout, money, things like that.

I voted Yes. In truth it is more or less up to date with only a handful of minor changes that need to be made to it, just need to find some time!

2:2:1 here. We switched from a 2:1:2 a couple of years ago. Irritatingly we revert back to the 2:1:2 during the exam period, it's very confusing. We also finish earlier on a Thursday.

Sorry, as in my edit I didn't know what size your school was, you might be able to get away with it on a 20Mbps connection at your school, but it's still a bit risky in my view. The curriculum may change to focus more on videos for example, going forward file sizes are likely to increase as will bandwidth demands. It would only take one member of staff to decide that they really need to download X big file to cripple you. In my view cloud storage (due in part to our infrastructure) is still at the stage where it is a supplement, not a large scale replacement.

20Mbps? You would max out your connection with a handful of 1080p YouTube videos, I would definitely not be considering moving away from local storage on your connection, a minimum of 50Mbps(if not 100Mbps) at least before even thinking about it. You would need to implement some serious QoS and bandwidth limits/balancing to ensure file availability at all times. I personally haven't done this with Google Drive, or any other forms of cloud storage. Edit: To be fair I don't know how big your school is, so perhaps I'm being abit overly critical, certainly at my school this would be the situation (1200 students, 150 staff)

If its not that then you should check which security context the application is running in and try giving a student user local admin rights.

It's very clear that there is someone in the cupboard as he's setting up the camera, you can clearly see her move her arm, and the sun is still up given the brightness of the light on the left hand side of the frame, and that light doesn't move during the 2 hour period. Regardless of what is on the footage this is an Americanised version of something that actually happened in Japan in 2008, the guy in the video is an actor, in the description he publicises himself and his website heavily. Its too much of a coincidence that an actor (who is largely unsuccessful) was involved in something like this which has gone viral, it's clearly just a publicity stunt to try and get himself known.

It's probably just next door messing around with a powerful electromagnet.

Our Maths department also moved to MyMaths, I think this was a/the trigger to drop Sam Learning in favour of more specialised sites, though as I say this was a while ago.

I believe our school dropped it mainly due to its cost and problems with using it, but this was years and years ago, so I presume it has improved since then, though the cost still seems rather high.

I have never heard of them, but it's free for your first 100 teachers, which basically makes it free for us. Edit: I decided to install it on a spare tenant we have to see what it's about, they ask for billing contact information immediately, which I wasn't particularly keen on. Edit2: Whelp I've been stuck on this for 2 hours: Removing/re-adding the app on sharepoint doesn't fix it as this is something that happens on their end, not our sharepoint. Not looking good!

Ok I think some clarification is required. Office 365 is the online platform which basically includes Online Office Web Clients, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Exchange, Lync. What exactly you get depends on your Office 365 subscription. Office 2013 is the most recent version of Office and can be used standalone, or attached to an Office 365 account. You can use Office 365 without Office 2013, and can use Office 2013 without Office 365. It sounds more like you are asking "Can Office 2013 work alongside Office 2010", the answer to this is mostly. However there is an issue with Outlook which would probably make you prefer to have one or the other, not both on the same machine. You could probably switch to Office 2013 without a major retraining effort, perhaps a small heads up on some of the menu changes but nothing too extreme I would have thought. Personally however we are looking to skip Office 2013 and wait for the next major release. If you are going to use the Office 365 web stuff then you will almost certainly need to run courses.

Right just an update, you can use a RecipientFilter for the GAL and then check against the RecipientTypeDetails of the object, if the object equals GroupMailbox then it will be included in the address list, if not then it wont. Here is a link for configuring a recipient filter - Filterable properties for the -RecipientFilter parameter: Exchange 2013 Help And a link to general filtering with powershell/OPATH - Filters in recipient Shell commands: Exchange 2013 Help My advice would be to create a new address list so you can play around with the recipient filter without breaking your GAL. Also as far as I can tell there is no way of determining with the Recipient Filter if a group is private or public.

To be honest I haven't gone into that much detail myself, you might be able too do that check, but it's not something I have explored.

Honestly I didn't believe this could be true until I tried it for myself. I can confirm that I too cannot delete any files or folders despite being the Group Admin. I'm surprised to be honest, I would have thought it was a bug but it seems more like an oversight. Edit: Ok I figured it out, for some reason they decided not to add any interface for this, but if you select a file or folder you can hit the delete key and it will ask you if you wish to delete it, selecting OK will then remove the file. I feel really stupid for not trying it sooner, but everything else on the site is interface driven...

You might be able to use a resource filter on your GAL to filter out groups, however this would prevent staff groups from being visible too, is that an issue? How often do staff (or students for that matter) need to create groups?

That may well be a bug in the build you are using, I would expect that's the case.

I'm sure alot of people wont like the new themes, they are very minimalist, but I think they look great, provided those are genuine!

I would put the ability to play the game above everything else, if you can't play the game without getting frustrated because the controls don't allow you to play the game then it doesn't matter how great the story is because you will likely be unable to experience it. Pretty fundamental in my book!

I didn't think anyone still used clipart? Depending on how it will be used they could always just search for images with google.

The Last of Us isn't a particularly good shooter in terms of mechanics, the controls are clunky at best. It's been overhyped to oblivion almost entirely due to its storyline, atmosphere and music. If you look past all that and focus on the mechanics then it's just an average third person shooter, so not a particularly good game. Probably would have made a good film though.
