And that's true on the DNS server? Well this is all very interesting. Are you using IPv4, IPv6 or both?

Are you able to perform an nslookup on the root servers?

Just updated the d root server, is that the message you get for all of them? Edit: As @matt40k said, in all likelihood if you can't use your ISPs DNS servers then these probably wont do much for you anyway. But I'm a bit like you I think, you want those green ticks.

Your Root Hints should ideally list the servers on this page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_name_server They are a sort of "if all else fails" for DNS queries, your Forwarders will be doing all of the work, sending requests to your ISPs DNS servers, but in the event they are down then these root servers attempt to take over.

Just to update this, the problem still exists and has been escalated up a level from the normal service team. This new team believe that this is by design, though this was working previously and there are KBs that confirm that you should be able to see Free/Busy information through cross-forest federations. From our testing the data is shared as you can access it through the scheduling assistant, however it isn't being displayed (and throws the error I spoke of) in the regular calendar view, I find it extremely hard to believe that this is now by design. Does anyone have something similar working? Where you can view a room calendar between an O365 hosted mailbox and an On-Premises mailbox (in either direction)?

Well all I can say is this entire thread makes no sense, your first post specifically asked for reasons not to buy one, and completely valid reasons were brought up and you ignored them basically because Apple (you provided no counter argument, neither did anyone else really). You could have gotten better value by not buying Apple, you would have had better upgrade prospects, you could have chosen from any other operating system, you could have gotten a different ultrabook on ebay. The only reason here is because it was an Apple product, the only reason. I mean, that's not necessarily your fault as Apple are so backwards as to refuse you to use their OS on anything but Apple hardware, but there you go. Not to mention if you had come out and said "I want to test out Mac OSX at home so I'm thinking of buying a Macbook Pro" in your first post then I probably wouldn't have posted that.

Quite a number of people have used the feedback app to encourage Microsoft to revert the design, I'm hopeful about it. The previous one was a very good combination especially with the return of a workable folder structure, was very pleased to see that back. The start menu in 9926 did away with all that, was extremely disappointed to see the All Apps button now just lists things in the App Alphabetical style with folders all jumbled up in the list, a horrible decision. Sure the hardware is reasonable but considering the cost, the hardware should be at that standard or higher anyway, this is true of any other ultrabook. Considering you can get the adobe suite on Windows you aren't really gaining anything from being on the Apple platform.

Well, you would save yourself a fortune by buying comparable non Apple gear, and another fortune in support costs if anything does go wrong. You will be able to service and upgrade your own kit yourself. Really you should ask yourself what you have to gain from paying extra for a Macbook Air, if the answer is simply "its a Macbook Air.." then you are wasting your money.

So having set up a Hybrid Exchange along with Office 365 and having everything working well on our various test accounts, we've just started to encounter a problem that didn't exist 2 weeks ago. Essentially we have a series of room calendars (both On Premises and one migrated to Exchange Online) which up until recently (as of some time last week) were accessible in Outlook 2010/2013, On Premises OWA and O365 OWA, every client could interact with every calendar. Well now On Premises OWA cannot open the calendar hosted on Exchange Online, and O365 OWA cannot open any calendars hosted On Premises. What makes this issue more frustrating to deal with is that the Outlook clients are perfectly fine, be that On Site or Off Site! Not only that the Exchange Connectivity Tester reports that everything is hooked up perfectly for Free/Busy information. Now the obvious question for us is what have we changed, and as far as we know we haven't changed anything that would effect specifically OWA when accessing calendars. So we are at a bit of a loss, does anyone have any suggestions before we put a support request in? We are still testing and configuring O365 so this isn't critical as such.

Does the rest of the email's body remain intact? If she sends it without marking as confidential does it arrive?

What type of content is she pasting? It might be being removed if the emails are being converted to plain text, or perhaps a rule is checking the body for specific content and removing it.

To my knowledge it's impossible currently, you cannot have a single column of tiles. I suggested that they reduce the minimum to a single column but doesn't look like it was taken up. You can do it if you use other apps as well as the office ones, but that's not really what you are looking for.
