    download firefox and browse around the game sites and such so you get all the media players and associated doo dahs.

    not quite what you were looking for i know, but its worth looking at Group policy for this sort of thing as it gives you more flexibility moving forwards. we use an ou to set all services and install all the relevant software and just assign the relevant policys when needed.

    best suggestion is to add that they are ultimately responsible for their own accounts into the user agreement. is very disappointing taht your management team want to try to hide the problem rather than deal with it.

    maybe the school should ban pens as well incase the students write obscene notes to the teachers!.

    Use wake on lan. I use wol.exe in a batch file, I used to angry IP scanner to gather a list of all the PCs mac addresses. You could set the script up on a server and use sheduled tasks to run it at lesson changes. or even jsut run it every 2 minnutes so the machine always kick back into life.

    I've never known to do it that way. theres usually a jumper on the mobo to do it, otherwise take out the system battery, disconnect power and leave it untill monday morning.

    try resetting the bios on it.

    cracking site, the iso virtual mounter has just saved me buying alchohol 120%!.

    mr bios, you can set the pc's so that it only shows the shut down box not the log off box. The existing scirpt you can set in gpo as a system startup file, then set it to the ou the machines in that room are in.

    nah, it happened the other way round,but for some reason pearson VUE seem to be running ms exams again now.

    Near impossible to buy at the moment! I got one at HMV last Thursday - £250 Bundle - any two games, 1gb SD Card, plus the console. got mine last week to, about the same price from argos. Arms stopped working after 4 hours of boxing.
