First I've heard of it but I'm certainly interested. @PhilNeal @David_Grashoff - can you share any details?

Haven't played it once this year... it's one of those games that I dip in to when I feel like it though (once I finish the campaign). Online was fun for a while but got very repetitive very quickly. Then again, I am something of a "lone wolf" gamer (i.e. don't play many multiplayer games)

Have to say although I'm not colour blind, I do have an issue whereby I struggle with low contrast. I know the site well enough not to read the headings any more but if I do try to read them, it's a struggle. White text on that shade of blue/green is very difficult for me. No problem with the fact it's RM (in fact I may even enter the competition) but have to say to whoever chose the colour scheme, I don't think it'd pass an HCI colour perception test!

I'm on the fence; if he's genuinely being flooded with emails and harassed with phone calls then yeah, maybe it is legit. Plus I read an estimate he was pulling in $15k per day in advertising revenue! So perhaps he has made enough from it now and just wants to drop it and move on. I wouldn't do it, you can email and call me all you want for $15k a day, but who knows

You can use a Windows 8 upgrade disc with any legitimate copy of XP, Vista or 7. However, for XP and Vista it won't be a true 'upgrade', it'll be a clean install (i.e. all files, folders and settings lost, so backup first!) Upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows Vista or Windows XP - Microsoft Windows OEM copies are cheaper than retail and include everything except Microsoft Support (I don't know a soul alive who has ever called Microsoft for support installing Windows on a personal machine). As they're meant for installation by system builders on to new machines, there is no 'upgrade' version but they're still generally cheaper. I wouldn't mind having a go at this but as I'm not an NM (or even on the IT team...) the RM Neon membership would be useless to me... wouldn't mid that PS4 though Say I entered and won, would I be able to gift my RM Neon sub to somebody who could make use of it?

Was your post a question or a solution? If a solution, I see this all the time; people try to build up a persona online and some of them will claim to be IT pros when in actual fact they just copy and paste their answers from elsewhere online. Seen lots of bad advice given out because of folk like this, they'll post a "solution" to the wrong problem which ends up making matters worse for the OP. If yours was a question then I'm stumped - maybe they just wanted someone to talk to!

FFX was the last one that I really got in to, though I keep thinking I should give some of the newer ones a chance. I'm a big fan of the old turn based battle systems in the older FFs, found X a bit of a faff in that respect as it was the first that started to introduce real time battles, which I'm not so keen on. To me, it takes a lot of the strategy out of the game and it from what I've seen of later FFs that only got more and more diluted. I know a lot of people prefer it, but I like the old way. The materia system in FFVII was fantastic, really enjoyed that, and the abilities in FFIX aren't bad either. Found VIII a bit slow getting in to and unfortunately my disc 1 had a scratch right on the edge which caused it to crash just before it got to the "change disc" screen, I never did get around to playing that second disc! I've never played Secret of Mana, though I have recently got Mystic Quest for my daughter as I read it was a good game for people looking to get in to RPGs

Given how popular FFVII has been over all these years, I'm frankly amazed that they haven't done this yet! Still keep peddling the same version we've always had... and yes, I still keep buying it (well, I had it on PS1, bought it last year on Steam and will probably end up buying the PSN version to play on the Vita when I exhaust my current stock of games on it...)

Well I don't have a tablet (don't see the point), don't have a laptop, but am happy to drop my Vita in my pocket and carry it around with me, so I'll be buying the Vita version EDIT the "HD remaster" part isn't particularly important to me, just an added bonus. I'm currently playing through FFIX which has had absolutely no remastering done to it - still the same great game!

Maybe you can't change if you signed up before a certain date, but I know I can (I login with my username, not my email address) Log in to Steam, go to your profile page, edit profile, change profile name. You'll now show up as whatever you have changed to, can login with that name and if you click the arrow next to your username on your profile page it shows any previous names you have used

If you remove all line/paragraph breaks between tables in Word, it will automatically merge the tables. It can be quite irritating but can also come in handy some times - like SIMS, it's a case of recognizing when it's a help or a hindrance! Sounds to me like the table has been set not to break pages ("Table Properties > Allow Table to Break Pages")

They are the most prevalent bricks & mortar store I know, but independent stores (or if you're lucky enough to live local online retailers with shop fronts such as Scan) generally have better prices and more clued up staff, though they can be hit and miss too. For personal use though, I've never needed anything so urgently I couldn't order online and wait for next day delivery.

Sugru is great but don't put it anywhere near your CPU! I can't remember a time that anybody in Currys/PC World had a clue what they were talking about. Don't understand why anybody would shop there to be honest, painfully expensive!

Depends how tight they are really, if you had it die on you on day two you'd hope they'd replace it as being obviously faulty but if they turned around and said you were only covered up to 80GB then you're up the creek lol. I imagine it would be seen as an obvious fault though and replaced, they're just covering their backs because they dropped the "enterprise" bomb in their spec list lol

I assume it means an average 40GB a day, i.e. "5 years" actually means a total workload of approximately 57 TB

Also worth thinking about your PSU - that 270X uses roughly 50w more power than the 7850 (reference cards) so you may want to check your PSU can handle the increased load, this tool will help you with that: Thermaltake Power Supply Calculator EDIT: although the site recommends leaving load at 90%, I always put it to 100% to make sure I have sufficient head room. Also, make sure you read the notes on capacitor ageing and set it accordingly (I generally set this at 30%)

No it's a standard tag, it's how you tell SIMS exactly what a section is so that it can remove an empty one. I did make a typo though, there should be a space between the two words i.e. "Report Section" (invalid XML, tut tut) It's on the ribbon in newer versions of Office, can't remember where it is on older versions now though...
