Have you looked at the official tutorials and SDK from Google? I found them very helpful in getting going. The SDK is just Eclipse repackaged, if you already use Eclipse you'll probably be better installing just the 'ADT' (Android Developer Tools) plugin on your existing Eclipse install. I've been interested in 3D design and CGI for a long time and I've finally decided to try my hand at it. Problem is, I don't really know where to start! I've found various Blender tutorials online but they mostly seem to either be aimed at teaching you the Blender UI or very specific skills. Don't get me wrong, these have been helpful and I've picked up in a couple of days some pretty cool terrain design tricks with texturing, lighting and water simulation. What I'm really looking for though is an absolute beginner's set of tutorials. Without understanding the fundamental properties of a 3D model, it's very difficult to know how to apply that to produce what I want. It's all fine and dandy following specific tutorials but simply following button clicks isn't really teaching me anything. So, any recommendations? If such a thing exists and is platform agnostic (again, lack of understanding on my part means I don't know how realistic a request that is) that'd be great, but if they must be platform specific then I have access to Blender, 3DS Max and Maya (thanks to Autodesk's student program!)

Don't know if this will help you diagnose where the issue is occurring, but I just posted a link (lazy method, copy and paste the URL) and in the section before 'Updated', the link has been formatted but in the bottom section it hasn't, suggesting that the BBCode parser could be causing the issue perhaps? Not come across the issue myself but the first thing that comes to mind is to check the file association hasn't had any unusual arguments added, just compare the arguments on a "broken" machine with a working one and see if there's any difference. Could you get an adapter if you can find one that will fit one of your existing PSUs maybe? Connectors - Adaptors | CPC | Results Or you could of course chop the existing plug off and replace it, which would also give you the option of changing the polarity if necessary: Connectors - Mains, Power etc. | CPC | Results Sometimes it's just easier and cheaper to DIY these things!

Oh and I forgot to say, check the polarity! Quite an unusual value to try to find 13.5v - I'd be tempted to try with a 12v and see if it works, just do not use anything higher than 13.5v. Amps can be as high as you like, but should be at least 3 if that's how much it draws. Have you had a dig around your spare laptop chargers to see if anything fits the bill?

Just out of curiosity, is your PS3 connected via ethernet or Wifi? I have one of the first gen PS3s (the kind that could still play PS1/2 games from disc) and I have found the WiFi is appalling on it but got a significant boost via ethernet.

I've always assumed PSN is so slow because of the huge load on it due to it being free. Now that you have to pay for it (on PS4, it's still free on PS3 AFAIK) I think it will improve over time as less and less people switch on their PS3s... all assumption mind you, no data to back it up!

There are a whole host of less useful, more complex features built in to phones. Adding a checkbox to an options menu for the camera is not going to break the R&D budget. It's a simple modification (so simple I don't see why it couldn't be done in a simple software update) that would please a lot of people (amateur/professional photographers alone are in to the hundreds of thousands in the UK alone). Not having the option to save RAW photo data needlessly disappoints a lot of people.

That's a very cynical way of putting it, especially as you quoted a source with various good reasons to use RAW: Digital noise can be reduced, white balance can be corrected and small adjustments can be made to fix exposure issues. EDIT:"small adjustments" is a bit ambiguous, I have found I can adjust my shots up to +/-2EV in RAW with no noticeable loss in quality, that's a pretty big adjustment! It would be stupid to force RAW shooting (not even top end dSLRs force you to use RAW) so those that do use it would simply need to be aware of the space issue. That said, given that my 40D (which is 10MP) produces RAW files at ~10MB per shot, I can get around about 800 on an 8GB memory card. Most phones come with at least 16GB of internal memory these days and that's a hell of a lot of photos to be storing on your phone!

I think a lot of the time, it comes down to pure ignorance; they simply do not understand the security implications of what they're asking you. I can't count the number of times I've argued with people both inside and outside of the school about emailing sensitive data; their argument usually amounts to "of course my email is secure, I have to login with a username and password!"

The files are huge but give you a hell of a lot more room to edit. That said, I can still get about 800 shots on an 8GB memory card in RAW at 10MP, so file size isn't a great excuse for disabling RAW completely on a phone.

They're not far wrong either, why Amazon felt the need to cripple the Kindle by removing the well established Play Store and replacing it with their own I'll never know [actually, it's quite obviously so they can take a cut of the app market but it's dumb, they'd be better off leaving that to Google and watching their hardware sales rocket]
