OT: the Worms games are all great, Revolution is probably best for multiplayer though as it works with a pad (I've only played the PC versions, I dare say there are 360/PS3 versions out there too) Also, don't overlook Minecraft. I didn't play it for ages because I didn't get the point, but there is something oddly satisfying about an open world with an infinite supply of virtual Lego blocks. On the PC there are a ton of mods that create games within the game such as capture the flag and base defence - check out YogsCast and RedHat on YouTube for ideas in that area

I'd just like to try live retrieval of assessment data. I have systems in place to gather data in the wee hours to a separate SQL DB where my in house analysis system picks it up to process, but it'd be great if it was live.

That's where I get stuck - I know the BOs are simply a range of DLLs in the SIMS install folder but without the documentation (which I gave up asking for 2 years ago) I don't want to touch them. Brief as the documentation might be, if it simply tells me how to connect to the DB and retrieve data, I'll work the rest out for myself from there. Without that basic info though I don't want to experiment with them on a live DB! @PhilNeal - how do I go about getting hold of the BO documentation for read only access?

Hang on - Business Objects are free to use read only? I tried for ages to get access to those and was told that I needed to pay. I did get some TP documentation a while back, but it only covered calling CommandReporter from C# (so nothing to do with BO). How do we go about getting started with Read Only BOs?

It's not that I was expecting COD simplicity, it just doesn't feel intuitive at all. Plus, and this may be an issue with my system I need to look at, aiming is a pig. Moving the mouse has a "fluid" feel to it, very imprecise. Aiming down sights, the slightest movement of the mouse and it jumps 10 feet, nigh on impossible to do much more than fire from the hip. I turned mouse sensitivity right down, just made it slower (still as imprecise). I turned the DPI right up on my mouse, which sped things back up but was still imprecise as before. I know that if I'm in a fire fight and I can't hit anything because my sights are jumping everywhere, I am going to rage quit lol.

Not managed to get on to Day Z yet but did play a bit of ARMA II - are the KB/M controls and AI as rubbish in Day Z?! After playing ARMA II for a while, I'm completely put off the whole franchise... stupidly awkward.

You need to change the column in your vlookup, column 1 is the column you are looking up on hence getting namedayperiod

You're not supposed to and they won't support you (haha, support!) with it but you can use this tool to find out your Sky login details: https://www.cm9.net/skypass/ I don't know if that works with their new routers but I imagine it would as they are interchangeable. Basically, the MAC address and default password are actually a kind of key for your login details, and that site will decrypt them for you. Pop those details in to your new modem and away you go

This machine shouldn't need more than 400w and I'm confident the Corsair can deliver 500w (unlike a lot of cheaper brands that don't deliver what they claim). I suppose I could try the 600w PSU from my main machine and see if it clear things up... I'll see how the memtest goes and if they fail, I'm asking for a refund. Never should have bought a brand I don't know, certainly won't do it again! (even if they're fine, I'm already kicking myself for having done it in the first place!) It's a tricky one to diagnose as I do believe I've got two separate issues going on here. The AMD driver issue appears to be resolved, that one was causing BSODs when watching videos, particularly streamed videos. This latest issue has happened once or twice, usually whilst browsing in Chrome but also once or twice when switching the TV input. Initially I thought the GPU was the cause again, with it happening when changing input, as there could be some issue with HDMI completing the hand shake at input switch or a slight over-voltage from my AV amp or something... to rule that out, I've now got the machine connected directly to the TV, bypassing the amp (not ideal as I lose 5.1 but if needs be I can get a sound card) The latest BSODs are of the IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL - classic bad RAM error, hence I've got it sat running memtest as we speak. Spec as follows: i3 4130 (Haswell) Gigabyte H87M-HD3 Sapphire R9 270 Corsair 500w PSU TeamGroup Vulcan 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Now if it does turn out that these problems have been bad RAM all along, I'm going to be furious with myself. It was extremely out of character for me, but I bought TeamGroup RAM despite having never heard of the brand. I did so because it was fairly cheap, well specced, well reviewed on Overclockers (who I now know don't publish bad reviews so this proves nothing) and came with a lifetime guarantee.

haha yeah you might be on to something there! Is the white glove essential though? BTW - got another BSOD last night, although this one looks memory related rather than GPU. PC is sat at home running through an extensive memtest as we speak. I'm about ready to chuck the lot in a box and ask for a refund!

Great news on the card, an x80 range would be a shame to see die If you still have the bug for a new GPU, at least now it's not urgent so you can save up and replace with a newer generation x80 range that should last you a good few years more than an x60 or below - just make sure when you do take the plunge to get at least a gen 6 card for ShadowPlay and Shield compatibility, just in case

You'll need to use a vlookup. On the sheet containing the detail, create a unique lookup code in column A by concatenating the name, day and period (e.g. if name is column B, day C and period D, the forumla in A1 would be "=B1&C1&D1") You then do your lookup by concatenating the same fields in the same order on your timetable sheet to pull back the data you need. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll knock together a mock up for you
