Anyone have any ideas what wrong with our Citrix server? Nothing happens when you type in the ip address, only a certificate because with haven't brought a SSL certificate, so that part is normal, but after that, the screen is blank Restarted it several times I never setup the Citrix server, so no idea how it works or runs What should I look at? I looked at the services console,all the Citrix services are running

Umm ok another problem seems to have arised, it seem after I sysprep the 4 machines again, that I was using to make the image (Needed to change a setting) It seems that it came up with the OOBE setup screens Does this happen when you sysprep it a second time? I have seen that you can add the unattended file for the image on the WDS console, under the propeties of the image, would this be a better way of applying the images part of the install? I did try this (Still had the old unattanded file from the image enable, so dont know if this was conflicting. Has when I tried it doing this way, it seems that it add lots of US language parts to the system and the lanuage bar came up (Dont want that) Really need to know if sysprepping the same image again would cause problems

thnaks for the ideas guys Mac Mini with Plex sounding good, most expensive through £510 from apple damn, that's an expensive movie player! Does plex support all the codecs MKV that people tend to use? The only things I tend to have to use and install for my MKVs is the divx bundle (Comes with MKV features now) and the ac3 filter codec download Dont know if quicktime is needed in any of my MKV, have not tried it without it, need quicktime on my computer for itunes to work because I have an iphone ----------------- WD one doesnt seem to support ac3, which I know I need ----------------- Netgear one doesnt seem bad, looks like it has all the codecs for it to work, I'll have a search for prices a little later Any other suggestions?

Just Got an new LG 42 inch LED TV It has a USB port to plug in an external storage unit, to play video, music, pictures I have tested this, MKVs actually work Ones I test, one could not disable audio commentery, some could not play the audio So gusing some of my MKVs have different audio formats So of course I want to play all my 1080P files on the big screen Any advice what sort of device to buy? Dont really want to keep connecting/dis-connecting my laptop to it exspecially has mine is a dvi, so have to plug in a audio cable to, to get sound to go to the tv So any advice what sort of thing to buy to do this with?

Thats another good thing about Windows 7 Comes with a dvd decoder, so no need to worry about that with Windows 7

If you you can connect two screens to your pc fairly easy If you dont have an addon graphics card, you can buy one very cheap, so you have two dvi ports. This way you can use the option to extend to the second screen. Your be able to drag whatever software you want to use on the screen over to the second screen Is this more like what you want to do? Surly you dont want to use the same screen to do you tasks

For our plasma we made website pages that displays on the screen Works pretty good, only ever have to refresh the browser when we completely change it the page All text is change with an external text document Depends how expericed you are with website creation to do a good looking job and get the setup correct

Right what hal is showing in the WDS console? If you don't now how to find that out - Right hand click your image, your trying to use and click properties Also have you tried updating your boot images? We use the newest boot image from the windows 7 disc, that may help you, give that a try Had a lot of experience with deployment, so i reckon we can get this working together

Best bet is to repackage an setup from exe to msi like for example you could use this codec pack CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack Install the features you need (Can be just mpeg 2 codec or more if you want, just select the features you want) For repackaging software, I use 'Admin Studio' trial, all features work during the trial Dont think there are any msi mpeg2 codecs installers, so best option is to repackage, hope that helps you mate

jmcdermott need you help please or anyone who understands this I have the following problem on your power script file I have made my required images, when I tested the image, your script did not seem to add the computer to the network I didnt disable UAC (Forgot to) So to this the script with admin rights, I lanched CMD with admin rights and lauched the script from that The following error came up. File add2dom.ps1 cannot be loaded because the execution of scripts is disabled on this system. Please see “get-help about_signing” for more details. Did you get this problem? Dont really want to manually add the computers to the domain after imaging a computer everytime

We got to put all our projectors backup tomorrow, have all day to do it through (Staff training day) School makes us take them down at half term for security reasons Some we dont have to take down throught, some are installed into security cages So we have piles of projectors in our room, waiting to be put back up

For our screens (3 at the moment) soon to have about another three running when the building work is done We have a netbook attached to each screen I made a webpage for the screens, custom dimensions so it fits the screen perfect We have a 2 pages, it redirect from each page after so long think it was 90 seconds, one it goes the the second page, it then goes back to the first page after the 90 seconds again, so it does that in a loop We have a flash text box, with an external xml file that we can write into when we needed to, so it get the new updated text when it refreshes the screen. I think that is quite a good system I made there. We did use to use a net top box from OneLan, through it was pretty rubbish. Only good thing about it was anyone that had a login, could update the screen (All screen were connected just to that one box) I could give staff shortcuts to the the xml file, but I think they will make an error in it and stop it working fully

Hey guys Ok I'm having major problems install the CS4 Suite Every time I install it, it says that certain components have failed to install. When I click the information button, it displays a lot of language pack for it is not getting installed (Most be a failed pack for each CS4 App) Everytime I lanch any CS4 app, it complains it cannot locate files, so of course its to do with this problem of the language packs I have tried to repair, remove and install loads of time Before installing again, I removed all adobe products, delete every adobe folder, in the programs files folder,. app data, common files, windows etc and deleted all the adobe entries in the registry Still no joy Any ideas how to get this working? I cant reinstall Windows Would have done that already, but cant, need an new external hard drive caddy, mine broke, so cant backup my files) Cheers Guys
