Hi guys Been asked to renew our website Our current website link is www.ockendon.thurrock.sch.uk My website I am devloped so far is at www.freelancewebservices.org/schoolsite/index.html What do you think of it so far? I know I need to look agt the links page has this is too plain at the moment, I did look at putting a icon byside each link, but this didnt extually look right (and of course need to actually hyperlink the writing) Before you say, I know the video does not work , has the script was script to run from where it was located with all my other website files on my memory stick, easy changed, but have not brothered has Im just asking you what you think of the website at the moment, this is not live for the school Have been designing this on a full hd screen, so need to also looks how big the writing and pictures are on 1024 x 768 has thats the lowest resulotion I have gone for to fit on

I have the same problem too, used to be fine in a normal unc path, but since I changed it to a DFS Share, this is when it started, also we have the windows media player shorcut appearing on the desktops

ok all sorted by our support company today He took the dcs of the domain. expect one and the readded them I was to do with the reliaction of the servers, it was all muddled up with with sever relicated what Also while he was there got him to back dhcp, adter I updated that server to 2008r2 and got him to restore the dhcp service on there. So were totally running a 2008r2 active directory now. Just need to update our two citrix servers and our exchange server, then all servers on the cirrculun our 2008r2

not sure extually was done on the mac server, but got him to undo all the things he done to it, after that I dont him i'll sort the server out for him, just in case he is doing something wrong (believe he used to work in ict, now one of our music teachers, it actually his server he brought with his department money) Also turned the server off until this problem is sorted, has this may be the problem. dont think any ad schema was done, I know ours is at 2008r2 level does the mac server have its on ad schema then?

i would also make sure that their is no firewalls turn on you shouldn't have them on Yep checked all firewalls before I left work, all off any way all servers are static ip address which I'm guessing they are All are static and checked also you want to make sure that in your root dns servers that you have the correct srv and pointer records and also that the ldap. Think this is correct, what the difference between srv and pointer records (hard to think what it is, has im not looking at the server and dont know much about dns) TCP is correct the zone transfers are correct your scavaging scale are setup properly No idea, how do you check this? and i would also check the last time the system replicated to and from other servers No idea last time this was done also think back to the last thing that happen before all this went wrong try and trace your steps did you applied any service packs or anything like that or did any one change any passwords that used to authenticate anything also ask your team No passwords have been changed. All I can thiunk of its someone trying to setup a mac server to the active directory, thats about time it all happended. Later when this happended, i did find that the server 7 ip address in dns what now the mac server ip address, so changed this back, has I know he was trying to connect it through server 7

Not acutally sure what server is the time server, we have had the time wrong for the past two years I believe, never had this sort of problem before All I know is hat server 6 is the master server for all the fmos roles Well were getting our support company in for tomorrow to sort out another problem, looks like they will have to fix this major problem first (haha)

Could you create one that doesnt stay running? Ie cick on the shorcut and you then can press 'turn on proxy' or 'turn off proxy' Used to have one made by autoit v3. But I needed to change the proxy settings, and could never seem to be able to remake it, kept coming up with errors

Well for some reason 2010 does not work with the boradworks powerpoint files. Had this problem on a staff science laptop the other day. Another laptop installed by the same deployment image (windows 7) the only difference between the laptops were that I uninstalled 2007 after deployment and installed 2010. Think it only needs macros, which were all enabled in the trust settings

Chance the vga cable or whatever cable your using to connect it up, if its not that, its a new bulb job, with if im thinking we have these projectors has well, to be it woould be better buying a new projector and these aint too great

How extually can you tell if dns is working? believe they are, not sure All firewalls are turned off on each server fsmo roles are on one server (server-6) will check the other two questions out, just need to logon and check through citrix edit: ok cant check, citrix will not let me in, I can get onto the normal ctrl alt delete logon box, its starts complaining about the time different in the server, so will not let me logon. yer its on a DFS setup, im sure its on the right share and security settings Does it matter if the folder is the in the dfs root folder? cause its not, it was working fine when I moved it to the temp location on a different server, while I upgraded the server. That was in the dfs root folder, now its now, back on the normal server that hosts the files. Redirection is correctlly set on the users, hense users get there work (those ones that still have there work)

damn ah well, pointness giving students the links if we havent got the software installed in the dt classroom

gussing this wouldnt allows us to install it downstairs in our dt room, has we aint got it installed on any computers (This would be for 20 computers, thats it, we wouldnt install it anywhere else) gussing its for students to use at home?

anyone igured out what to do about this? I moved all over folders to a 2008r2 (i know 100% every folder) seems some are missing now, gusse some got deleted somehow, any idea? I chhecked when I finished, all folders had something in it

yer thats was I decided to do is use recura, last bit is to use the tape drive, need to swap scsi card from another server to connect the tape drive, has the one on the backup server has gone wrong (aint used in this other server)

We do have tapes, but havent been used for months due to our backup server goings worng, so if we did restore anything there be lots of work missing still volume copy? do you mean file version feature?, just enabled that incase more gets deleted

It seem somehow users documents are deleting themselves I belive... I moved the home folders to a temp server while i reloaded our server to server 2008r2 Now I moved them back to the server (including deleteding the folder on the temp server, so dont have backups - woops) I think its deleting user documents because I went to example the year 9 folder and there a few few empty folders Can anyone thing what is happing here?
