problem being doing that, is not all schools have sch.uk domain, but most do so that's a pretty good idea. Another way of doing it is find the council website(s) of the area your intrested in, then on that site you should find a list of schools and maybe links to there website, that way you can find all the schools in your area (I think)

Yer I got this sorted It was either runing it as a administrator for it to apply the settings (need to copy to a computer to run it, cant run as admin over a network folder/drive) Or it was just a newer version of the software that just seemed to work

Like Domino said a domain trust may be the way to go. We have two domains at the moment two. For the emails for the admin side we just created extra accounts on the curriculum network just for the admin email. Prefer to do that that than setting up a trust (Ours are on two different vlans)

Im just wondering how you guys set this up? For example I have two products that use SQL, for this I'll just say Sophos Server and APP-V Now what would you do now 1) Sophos with its own virtual server and SQL installed locally on that virtual server. APP-V with its own virtual server and SQL installed locally on that virtual server. 2) Sophos with its own virtual server and SQL installed on another virtual server just for this database ie that server would be called SQL-Sophos. never mind have sorted it finally! This has been annoying for the last 1-2 weeks! Seems it was getting permalinks settings from the root to the wordpress sub-directory, so disabled it from IIS under URL rewriting, then enable permalinks on the current website.

Having a bit of a problem with Permalinks links on the server. Im creating a new website for our Academy, and would like to make the links more user friendly hence I would like to use Permalinks. I have installed - IIS with every feature installed - Latest PHP - Latest MySQL - URl Rewriter 2.0 - HTML is on top of the list for to be ran first I have the following running - Latest Moodle (In a subfolder) - Latest Wordpress which is the current website (In a subfolder) - Latest PHPMyAdmin - index.html in root which redirects to a subfolder called wordpress (website) - New wordpress installed at the root Now everytime I copy the web.config over to the root that wordpress made the CPU usage goes up to 100% about 30 seconds later of when I guess someone goes onto to one of the sites. Its php-cgi.exe that causing the CPU usage This is what is in the web.config file Ignore the layout of this, the forum has changed it Any ideas guys?

Mutilpoint in quite intresting, think we will have to give this ago so, think we will need to get 20 new technology computers soon, so maybe 2 host computers? they don't really use much powerful cam software google sketch/2d design/ prodesktop 8 Question is: ethernet (guessing third best option?) or usb (guessing second best option?) or usb and vga/dvi/hdmi/ to graphics card on host (guessing this is the best option?)

Anyone Managed to get this working with APP-V, every time I launch the Prodesktop package it start up with the loading screen then closes it down byitself. Worked when when I launched it before making the package.

update has I have add so much problems with this, I have decided to set it all up this way Remote01 - RDSH (farm called remote.{domain}.com) - RD WEB (can get to this typing in remote.{domain}.com) - GATEWAY - BROKER Remote02 - RDSH (farm called remote.{domain}.com) - RD WEB (can get to this typing in remote.theockendonacademy.com) - GATEWAY So the only difference between these two servers in that one has the broker role installed and the other doesnt. I believe I have setup this all correctly, even got proper SSL certs installed However we have a weird problem externally Sometimes when we launch a remote app that will work fine, but then the remote desktop connection to the server doesn't work (same effect when using the remote desktop tool under start menu) and again the other way round (remote desktop connection to the server works but the remoteapps doesn't work) As this is externally (over the internet) the only difference is that it will use the gateway server. As both servers have the gateway role installed it should work fine using remote.theockendonacademy.com address (have set this setting under the broker and remoteapps, instead of it automatically detecting it) Any ideas, really need to get this working asap

You only need SCCM to monitor remove virus/spyware from the SCCM console, you can see do this on the client computer (not recommended) Its a big shame they didn't release its own console plus the option of using it with SCCM, for the people they already have it. Basically it would be like Security Essentials, if you didn't have SSCM

I'll recommend a LED not a plasma if you can strech that far, was looking in pc world the other week and all the plasmas looked extremlly dull, while the LED lokked much more detailed and crisp plus nice and bright!

ok this method has not worked, I have now set it up has above website works through remote.{domain}.com......... no remote apps or desktop dont work (cant connect to remotehosts.{domain}.com) doesnt work through remote apps in the start ment eithier doesnt work through the start menu eithier, it remotes to the master remote computer instead of the farm name (remotehosts.{domain}.com) has everything got to be setup under one dns name or something? gateway/farmname etc
