  1. Indeed, only difference being Capita never threw a queeny strop over it. Oh dear.. looks like we're all turning into Capita fanboys
  2. How was it set up in the first place? Sounds like the installer packages where used as opposed to the "proper" source files etc..
  3. Has anyone got ldap enrollment working properly with active directory? All my groups are setup in AD and populated with members. Whilst I can authenticate using ldap, I am still unable to get moodle to enroll users to courses automatically/create courses etc based on these groups Could anyone who is using moodle/ldap/AD enrollment post their config if they don't mind!? I've checked moodledocs and here etc, surely someone has it going? Thanks
  4. Thanks guys There are 2 connections on the pen tray - do they both need to be plugged in?
  5. Hi Chaps, Anyone know what cable I need to connect the pen tray up to a SMART board (SB680). I cant lift the the board off to check the connectors as it's been firmly fixed on - but the pen tray end appears to be an RJ11 plug Thanks
  6. "Ladies" !?!?
  7. Oooh Becta - I'm sure suppliers will be quaking in their boots!
  8. I guess the cert will be working on Mozilla in a few months maximum. Remember the old ipsca root cert was 10 years old so it's hardly suprising it was working in Mozilla
  9. I beg your pardon? I know full well what I'm doing with sophos thank you very much we don't have any problems with it (granted except the minor one above a few weeks back) and it has protected us from all the nasties that have cropped up in recent years such as Confiker etc..
  10. Go in your scruffs, and don't forget your toolkit, as no doubt they will have you fixing anything with a plug, or at least asking "how" to.
  11. Try upgrading to the latest version.
  12. A good reason for a standard MIS system country wide - there would be no smaller companies to have a hissy-fit and throw toys out of their pram just because they have an inferior product
  13. There should be a warranty area on the website - put your SN in and it'll tell you if it's in or out of warranty.
  14. I'm using the HP universal print driver.. don't seem to have any probs with this.
  15. It looks like it's straight through RS232 but I could be wrong I don't think USB-cat5 units will work in this case, the presentation is of RJ45 but it's not actually a network connection, if you know what I mean.. Urgh.. wish they wouldn't buy this cr*p
  16. Hi, I have just discovered in their infinite wisdom our school has taken delivery of several pieces of Gym equipment, and been told "oh yeah, there is a network port on them so they can be networked!"" Indeed, there is an RJ45 port on each piece of equipment but it's not for ethernet - it's some kind of proprietry signalling for sports equipment. They have supplied what converts this obscure RJ45 into a serial and then into a USB for plugging into a PC. My problem is the PC is on the other end of the room and cannot be moved Anyone know the sort of cable I would need to run from the machine to the front of the room? Preferably a USB connection at the PC end. Its about 15m in distance so presumably this rules out serial!? Anyone had any experience of this type of thing? TIA
  17. If you stop the 3WXM service for an hour on the machine that it is installed on, this will clear all logs and start afresh. Your wireless service wont be affected - it'll just be the monitoring of it that you wont be able to do.
  18. Yep, it's screwed. Just found the "export" button anyway - so you can export all report data as pdf/xls/whatever instead.
  19. Is this all the migration utility does then? Detaches it from the old SQL instance to your new one?
  20. Didn't know you could park up in London. Learn something new everyday.
  21. Yes..make sure you have everything you need before starting..
  22. Thanks, all done
  23. The only thing that this raises is my temper Has anyone managed to successfully print reports off this thing? We keep getting “Unable to load client print control” on any machine I've tried Googling this error suggests a problem with their reporting services but they provide no way of contacting them to "raise" the issue
  24. Realising the switch I'd bought was twice as deep as the cab it was going in!
  25. I'll concurr with that - we have 2 buildings each with one of these as their core. Solid as a rock! They only have SFP fibre ports though (easily solved with £50 tranceivers from hardware.com)
