I'm just about to move Smoothwall Network Guardian on to a more capable server - can anyone point me to any useful documentation about carrying over all the settings and maybe where to download the latest build?? Anyone?? Tom??

Hi - we're doing some serious work on our storage SANs next week - so I need to stop nearly everyone logging in (w2k3 and XP) - anyone got a simple way to do this - normally I'd consider pulling the network plug - but I need a running network for some of the work - so I don't really want to have to manually alter 1500 user login details...?

I just bit the bullet when we had to do it - and paid them to come in - and I was very glad too - as the guy couldn't get it to play nicely and had to move all the data off onto a clean laptop to do the upgrade and then move it back - yeuch!

PVSL license for viewing DVDs - you're supposed to send a list of films viewed back on a quarterly basis - but if anyone can suggest a workable way of getting teachers to declare when they've sat watching a film, rather than teaching, I'd be interested to hear it... -
Funnily enough - this has recently happened to us as well - I suspect that the step upgrade we did a while ago dropped the database prune flag - and its just filled up since. Support were very helpful - but we did end up losing all of our historical data.

This is the easiest I've used cdrLabel.com

7 here - but we did do Latin at school - in the olden days - seem to remember a lot of translations about people being cast down onto spikes...
-
Ah right - no I don't know if you can do that

Again - the slightly fantastic AB Tutor...

We've done the Ricoh thing - the smaller printers are OK - but the large photocopier jobs can be a bit of a 'mare to set up - I'd advise costing in some Ricoh time for them to come and show you all the settings - as we found the documentation somewhat "lacking" - though on the plus side - it does look like its going to be quite a bit cheaper.

What effect are you trying to get? I find using the "Check Names" button is quicker than browsing

Thin Client Physical Security

And having just bought 60 - I can say they are jolly nice, and seem to be a step up from the Wyse terms that we were using - especially the management software! Well done that firm. -
To a large degree - I agree with you on that one - as an aside - I think the NHS IT project would've been a lot closer to completion by now if they'd taken that approach- they needed interoperability, not complete uniformity.

Cool - getting to 50 s'not so bad - now I'm getting used to the idea though as my missus says - its better than the alternative..

I hit 50 this week and remember most of Bossman's list - so are we a similar age? Pogles Wood - a classic, and Noggin The Nog Talking of Dangermouse - went to my son's Parents' Evening this week and met one of his teachers who's nickname is Penfold - and boy - you could see why! I imagine most of the current intake have no idea who he's named after though.
