I like the cut of your jib! A man after my own contract...

Even though I see a lot of moaning - I have personally found Virgin's cable BB to be very solid - the TV & phone is well overpriced though

I think its this (which we had to do on 2003 as well (though can't say I endorse it) On server 2008 one way to get there is the following: Administrative Tools Server Manager Features Group Policy Manager Forest: ... Default Domain Policy Computer configuration Policies Windows Settings Security Settings Local Policies Security Options Microsoft Network Server: Digitally Sign Communications (Always) - Define This Policy - Disabled Execute Gpupdate /force or reboot to apply policy

Anyone else on beta-blockers / for migraine?
SpuffMonkey replied to tech_guy's topic in General Chat
I was recently at John Radcliffe hosp in Oxford to have a hole in the heart fixed - and they were doing research there to see if it would stop migraines - apparently about 25% of the population have a hole of some kind (Patent Foramen Ovale) - which can cause blood clots to travel round the body and cause strokes and other problems (which was why I was there) - and they reckoned that this might cause migraines too - so there was a lot of form filling, and follow ups in a few months - if the research shows this to be correct - you might be prescribed blood thinners (warfarin/clopidogrel etc) in the future to control them. -

Agreed - you have to make the settings on the local PC - as if the cable is pulled - the GPO doesn't get fully applied - we had a spate of this recently and had to put a fix in quickly - annoying!

I'm getting bored of this - can we stop the spamming about this product?
-
Just install eportal on the new server and point back to the old one for the data from the Facility Controller - as far as I remember

If you're giving an aliased account to every teacher....why not just give out the real address?
-
Or leave them as flv but make sure you've a codec that will play it.
-
I dunno - but see [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_Decrypter]DVD Decrypter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Its still around - just called Imgburn nowadays
-
I see no one has mentioned avidemux - its free and I find it does a really nice job - you have to rip using DVDShrink or similar - but it keeps the sync really nicely.

Is it any good?? Netgear XAVB1004 Homeplug AV adapter kit
SpuffMonkey replied to lionsl2005's topic in Wireless Networks
I would think that will only work if the 2 buildings are on the same electrical ring - which (I would think ) is unlikely. You could try microwave if they are line of sight - or if its simple internet - just a mobile wifi dongle might do. -
Hi Matt If you were asking me - we have CMIS - FMS was just a hangover from before because we didn't rate Serco's offering - I believe they are due to include a better one (though the name escapes me).
-
Agreed - the story was nothing great - "A Man Called Horse" or "Little Big Man" in space on a Roger Dean designed Yes album cover - but it was very pretty, and the (nigh on) 3 hours just flew by.
-
As I said - we don't have SIMS - just FMS
-
And add to that the fact that FMS is completely hideous - wish I could get our lot to move onto a "proper" accounting system.
-
Wiouldn't it be easier to build your own media centre PC - then you'd have control of all the codecs etc ?

We bought cheapo used Olympus cameras off ebay for a few quid (1 & 2 Mp) - they are fine for general use, with the added bonus that no one wants to steal them.

IMAX has a screen that is HUGE! [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMAX]IMAX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] I'm still tempted to have another go as its on in Birmingham til the end of the month at least. I'm colour blind too - and the 3D was fine for me - irritatingly colour blindness is only passed down through the female line, but as you say - affects mostly men - harumph!
