Two of the machines i've tested on are ie9, but one is ie8 on Win XP. All very odd!

Hi All, This one has got be completely stumped, and there isn't much out there on Google. I'm hoping one of you may have come across this and cured it. I'm getting multiple reports from users that they are unable to use the Enter or Apostrophe key when writing in the body of a new message / reply window using OWA. This issue seems to affect users internally and externally, irrespective of hardware type. My initial thoughts of keyboard mapping and/or different levels of windows updates seem to have been proven as false leads now. Exchange 2010 is fully patched and running latest SP with latest OS updates on it. Hope someone can help!

Just to followup on this, I can confirm that iTap does exactly what it claims - happily using RDG from my Mac now!

To be fair, did you ask or research when it would be out before purchasing? If you had, it might have been prudent to wait. A decent license company would normally let you know this kind of detail too - might be worth taking up with them... although if you didn't ask, they wouldn't be obliged to do anything about it.

I've chopped and changed a LOT over the years (and recently), and have never been asked to do this. Is your insurer specialist or a small company? If you are 100% sure about the company being legit then it might be ok... I think you're right to be suspicious though, I definitely would be!

Hi All, Has anyone been able to get a Remote Desktop connection working via Remote Desktop Gateway on a Mac? It amazes me that Microsoft don't seem to support Gateway on the newer version of Remote Desktop Connection for Mac! I've heard that a Mac app called iTap can allow a connection via Gateway, but that costs and from playing with the trial (which doesn't seem to allow Gateway connections itself!) doesn't look very attractive - I'd love to be able to issues staff/students with a more reliable/free solution! With the new (stupid) continuous insurance law, you would need to cover the car as a second car on your existing policy or to take out an entirely new policy. I wouldn't have thought fuel would increase too much. Depends how much time you spend thinking about mpg every time you visit the station I guess! Tax and insurance would be the two things I'd think carefully about, but... my view is if you want a better car then you have to pay for a better experience. (That was my thinking behind my 2.6ltr v6 vectra!) I still dont think the costs are too bad considering the enjoyment I get from it... and the fact I can overtake tractors now! (Yep - living in Cornwall means you end up considering things like that!)

Dont let the Cat c bit put you off. I've had quite a few ex Cat C and they've turned out to be the best cars I've owned. If You think the price is fair for the year, mileage, condition etc then take it for a test drive and see what you think (and if you're anything like me, take someone who knows a bit about the stuff under the hood!)

Are you not the mail administrator, or do you not trust them? I only took the chance as I am the administrator and it was my own device. I would assume an administrator who valued their continued employment wouldn't test on live users! At least if you DO lose te device you know they can wipe it for you so all of your info isn't accessible?

Im not sure on the definite answer when it comes to Android, but I was curious myself when I first hooked up my iPhone years ago, so figured it would be a smart idea to see what happened - and it completely wiped the ENTIRE iPhone - apps, images, music, everything!

I've used exactly the same card that Maniac suggest above, with a Sony HandyCam, streaming via Windows Media Encoder (mentioned previously in the thread too). I think I'm correct in saying there is a limitation of 5 or 6 feeds from Media Encoder. I did try and have a play with Microsoft Expression Encoder first, but couldn't for the life of me get it working, so reverted back to Media Encoder as i'd used it a few times previously. Works flawlessly. You can set it up to stream direct from a host PC next to the source camera and distribute over the lan. At the classroom end they can access via Media Player / Real Player / VLC via mms://hostipaddress:portnumber *Edit - Replace the smiley face with a : and a portnumber!

Might be something in it that for an Admin to investigate. I don't get too hung up on rep, but it does bug me slightly when someone doesn't explain the reason / want discussion! (Won't say any more on the subject as I know there are other current threads on rep in general!)

I'll echo Rabbies type of apology too - perfectly understands be for an assistant head teacher to not know this kind of thing! I assumed that as you were undertaking that technical job, and later added that you upgraded the entire network recently too, that you were from a technical background! (The fact you're not makes the whole thing quite impressive!)

I'm not wanting to come across as overly offensive but... Am I the only person reading this, seeing someone hold up what is clearly a parallel cable, and wonder how someone working in a tech/manager position doesn't know this? Unless the OP is very young and those cables just aren't known to the new young generation of geeks?!

Hmm. It would be interesting to know if another iPad 2 user gets it as well then. It's the only webpage I've noticed it happen on, so would guess it is site related. Obviously not a big problem, more of a quirk!

Hi All, I'm hoping one of you might have access to some nice powershell scripting, or have experience in using a nice little utility that I might be able to use instead of a rather manual process! I have approx 1000 users on a domain (schoool/school.la.sch.uk) and would like to migrate them to a new forest/domain (school.internal/.com) - ideally scripted to be able to achieve the following: Move AD users Copy user home directory from \\legacyFS\d$\users\IntakeYear\Username to \\newFS\D$\users\IntakeYear\Username - preferably with permissions intact Retain @school.la.sch.uk address in legacy user AD properties Add %username%@school.com account as the default account in user AD properties If anyone knows a way of doing the main migration and file permissions but not the other stuff, I'll be happy with that. I can just use ADModify to do the Exchange/User Property bits
