  1. Make sure that you have port 443 open for external access, and also that you have an appropriate certificate which has autodiscover.domain.com, netbiosname.domain.com and externaldomain.domain.com. https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com should give you a good idea on what is going wrong for you.
  2. We use SchoolBooking Room & Resource Booking system We evaluated it for quite a while before purchasing and got great feedback from staff. Now use it for bookings of rooms (classrooms, hall, courts), resources (cameras, laptop trolleys - staff can book a specific amount of laptops too) and are probably going to use it for lets after school too.
  3. I've got MB02 NET on retention! (MB are my initials if you hadn't guessed!)
  4. We have a few, but I wasn't a huge fan myself. If people are looking around for an alternative, I'd suggest the Sony Bloggie - have a few of these too.
  5. Hmm. Quite. Apologies to Admins/DB if they feel my assistance in the above was inappropriate. Was undertaken with a sense of assisting technically rather than considering the wider issue highlighted by powdarrmonkey.
  6. This one was well behaved for me - just use the magic wand tool in Photoshop! (Had to zoom in heavily for the small letters though!)
  7. Wouldn't claim to be a guru, more of a hobbiest - but here you go!
  8. I am SO going to use that snippet in the near future! Good man!
  9. It basically sounds like he wants to re-model Moodle and get pupils involved in the experience / control their learning.... i.e. he has probably seen something similar and doesn't understand the technical reasons why your existing VLE can't do this. I suspect he is after a system very smilar to this: EdLounge: Learn, Work, Play (I should probably add I don't work for / represent them, but I have set it up at one of my schools before - it gives learners an avatar, 3d world and flash games which they can use in return for spending time on learning resources/completing tasks etc) For the translation aboves - weemees = cartoon avatars (used to be an MSN messenger thing!). Can't help with much of the other odd words though!
  10. This doesn't appear to allow visitors to book specific seats. They can only 'see' the seating plan rather than select a specific seat within it. (Apart from that core requirement missing, the system looks similar to what we are looking for)
  11. Thanks guys. The requirement is probably somewhere between both responses actually. We would want Parents to be able to come along for performances and have the option of selecting seats / booking online, but would still want to be able to sell to the public too. One thing I didn't mention, it would be preferable if the system linked with a ticket printing solution - i.e. barcodes or something similar, so that we can scan people on on the door (similar to BETT in that respect - no fancy tickets, just a quick zap to check if they have genuinely paid!)
  12. Hi All, This is a bit of a long shot... Do any of you currently use some form of online booking/ordering system for the management of Theatre / Performances etc? Essentially, I am looking for a system that would allow us to create a seating plan and allow visitors to our site reserve/book seats and pay online - much like a cinema type system. Many thanks,
  13. I quite like Peaches! Ok, she has made questionable decisions, has some wierd tattoo's, but she's a fiesty, attractive and fairly well educated gal... considering her parent(s) etc. With that said, the OMG show on ITV2 is a bit trashy!
  14. Firstly, I think the mention of Stone Computers will probably set off the usual "Stone are rubbish" / "Stone are great" discussion, so let me slot my 2p in by saying I don't think this is anything to do with brand, it will be a batch of components at fault if it is occuring en mass. Do you have any monitoring tools on them? If they are the intel boards do you have the intel util to monitor temp etc? My first thought based on a similar experience with legacy machines (which weren't Stone!) is that it may be processor temp related. We solved our issue by getting a decent thermal silver compound and reseating fans - in some of our cases the pc's either had too much paste or not enough! Going back to Stone... if you were really keen for them to have a hand in resolving the issue I dare say they would action an engineer to visit you on site for a chargable callout and investigate / repair one, but he would then be able to advise you of the problem for you to do repairs from that point on?
  15. Ideal. Thanks for the additional info - all hugely appreciated.
  16. Does indeed, thanks! I have a few more questions if that is ok... - What is your current set up - Vanilla / RM CCx or something else? - Is the Academy one physical site, or more than one? - What knowledge do the existing team have (honestly?). Would you say you are all able to support the change mentioned in the ad, or do you require training/specialist input to be able to change things on a large scale?
  17. I'd be interested in knowing more. Hopefully nothing controversial, so might be useful for other viewers to see answers here: How many people are in the current IT support team? Is this role to replace an outgoing Network Manager, or are there more than one focused on different things? Who would be the line manager of the Network Manager? Cheers
  18. I'd recommend getting a UC cert. You can put multi domains within the cert to cover for server.internal, server.exernal.com plus autodiscover. and owa. etc I've used Comodo for the last could of years, really good pre and post sale support. Fairly sure they sell to the US too.
  19. First time poster and same geographical location I think... When companies do this, are you like me - does it make you far less likely to purchase from them?!
  20. I think they've done a great job from looking at that. Can't wait for the full release!
  21. I'm a Kayako customer too. The new v4 platform is fantastic. The desktop app is much improved - live chat, remote assistance and VOIP/SIP functionality built in - amazing for the cost.
  22. I'm slightly nervous too, but much happier after seeing the recent artwork. The studio doing the animation seems to have a good track record too. thundercats - lots of info / new artwork there!
  23. Found an alternative way of doing it via this thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/58198-embed-bbc-worldcup-2.html
  24. Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but the above example doesn't appear to function the same anymore. When run it gives a holding message saying "Click here to view BBC News Channel at BBC Online". Does anyone have a solution to have it autoplay and stay within the same webpage?
  25. Done.. **edit** did before leaving work and only got around to saying here! Looks like elsiegee40 is right tho - can't see now** .. and edging on the side of off-topic... I'm glad to see there is at least one (or two including Little Miss) people other than myself who might be looking forward to the Thundercats reboot animated series this year!
