  1. Your going to need Windows 10 machines too I believe.
  2. We've looked at it on a few occasions over the years and the product has improved, but we've never bought it. Our major factors were: Would students use it?! Not all subjects covered Not all exam boards covered within certain subjects Cost We even tried with staff creating their own podcasts, which the students used but it was extremely time consuming to create. These observations above may now be from around 18 months ago, so it may have evolved or become cheaper all of a sudden.
  3. We use the options software from here for our options blocks that does the job. The timetabling software looks very similar. Free trial : timetable software ... for timetabling school timetables ... for easier scheduling.
  4. Sounds good, I've signed up. Can't wait to see what it can do.
  5. We were also wanting to do something similar, but i've just rewrote a policy which is going next week - no e-mails on a Saturday and between 7 - 7 each day.
  6. We manage our social media channels here, generally the information we are asked to put onto the school website we condense and transfer it across to Facebook / twitter etc. As long as the student has explicit photo consent from their parent regarding our website and / or our social media channels - we put the info on.
  7. I think you are going to struggle to find something free that integrates with SIMS. See recent posts around this matter. If you have less than 10 rooms / resources, you can get this for around £450 - well worth it to me, in man hour savings alone.
  8. It's free for up to the first 100 clients, as to creating another account, I would just use an alternative e-mail address that was used previously and you should be fine.
  9. We are just with BT, no issues in 12+ months.
  10. Permitted for our Sixth Form and Staff, blocked for everybody else.
  11. I'm guessing it's Meraki MDM your talking about. Registration can be done here. https://meraki.cisco.com/form/systems-manager-signup
  12. All our support is down in house plus our 5 primaries. The only outsourcing we do, but is very rarely used is CAPITA direct for SIMS and Canon for our MFD's.
  13. We have ours in OneNote too.
  14. We went through the CPC framework, cost us around £2k to only be left with one supplier at the end - it may just have been me wanting too much and the other companies feeling our t's and c's were to much in favour in us. We went with the remaining supplier (Canon direct) and rolled out in January this year - buy in from staff, reliability of machines and cost savings have been immense based on our previous provider.
  15. We are using Edukeys Provision Map and our SENCO says it's saved her so much time. Take a look at the School Robin's also which is also reducing our admin time considerably. We are a Edukey ClassCharts user too, and the Provision Maps appear on the seating plans for teachers which has also been well received. I saw various similar products at BETT at the start of the year, and this is the one we decided to go with.
  16. We've got 2 Zioxi cabinets across our schools and are just as good as the other tablet trolley / cabinet people and we've always found them the cheapest when getting quotes.
  17. We've had no issues here with Accelerated Reader - all of Y7's and Y8's have been through a Accelerated Reader test and many a quiz has been sat by students after reading the book.
  18. We use Sage 200 since becoming an academy around 4 years ago with very little issues. I believe Sage are currently working on a cloud based solution - suited to education too.
  19. We are up and running again with ours. No two days are the same it seems !
  20. Our main school e-mail address is on our letterhead etc, but the address on our website is a contact us form with verification to we don't get as many junk messages this way, but the odd one or two slips through the net.
  21. Does anybody else still have this issue? It just doesn't seem to be pulling down the security policy or pulling down any apps for us. I've supervised them via Apple Configurator and have tried both installing the MDM app and registering that way as well as visiting m.meraki.com and neither seem to work. Looking at the client, it shows the following error: Management Settings: updates pending Meraki have advised trying the install missing / updated profiles button, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Thanks
  22. Have you supervised the devices using Apple Configurator. The iPAD may only work on the device used to supervise now.
  23. All of our job requests and to do list go onto our helpdesk (Kayako). Diary dates for meetings etc go into Outlook. I've also got OneNote setup for my notes and long term plans, as and when the to list starts getting smaller on the helpdesk, I take a few more ideas from OneNote. I've put a wipeboard up in the office for long term planning and notes, but haven't got round to using it yet.
  24. The SCEP issue appears to have resolve itself tonight adding the profile from home.
  25. We've got the same problem. I've even brought an iPAD home tonight and still can't get it to enroll fully on my home broadband. Out of interest, would this be the first iOS10 device your trying to enroll, all of our other iPADs were upgrading to iOS10 after enrollment, this is the first i'm trying with iOS10 on first.
