The answer I was hoping for was something like "yes, I recorded it, on DVD, (or VHS) I'll send you a copy"!!!

I need to set up WSUS, but I have setup Shadow Volume, and I thinks it's great, just a quicker version of my backup routine!

I'm with one and one, they always get a good write up, and I think they're quite cheap

From what I see of lessons, there is too much concentration on using Office products, and software based. Need to include more on hardware, networks and internet safety (See my new article on viruses!) Also, an introduction to programming would help. I think things need to be "fleshed" out more. The reasons that the kids spend so much time playing on the internet, is that the are given a project that an adult could do in an hour, and then spend months doing it. They get bored, IT lessons should be faster paste, with more diverse content!

Verifiying is about checking if the site is a phising site. You can also "report" sites as phising sites... which sounds dangerous to me!

can you not filter for the term "proxy", and if you catch anyone on it, ban them for a week. Thats what I do here using Securus

Geoff, I'd read about the BIOS rootkit, but I dismissed it, as there are so many differing BIOS's, and you need to start playing with jumpers to flash a lot of them. -
How about in 5 years time, support calls automatically emailed to your PDA

When the Yanks start watching British sports (cricket rugby football(proper, not American)), then I'll start watching their sports!

Firstly, you can ignore a MBR virus, simply because I've yet to see an airborne computer virus. We've all read about rootkits (and sony), and I'd wondered why no-one had come up with a MBR rootkit. Have you and your Dad been to the same website? -
I'd downloaded this over a month ago, just not got round to taking it to a mates MAC to uncompress it, and burn it to DVD yet!

if it's only for a handful of machines, each one with a different backround, go to doc and settings, go into yours, copy all the files and folders. make sure you can see hidden folders, go to the "all users" and paste the files! If you have personal docs you don't want anyone else to see, don't copy the My Documents folder
-
or stick it in "all users" in Documents and settings!
