I've just got a TomTom XL europe. You can purchase maps for South Africa, and it shows the Latitude / Longtitude. When I go back to SA, I'll definately be buying the map! Plus, it's small enough to carry in a coat pocket, you need never get lost on foot either!!

we're in a new house, and we think that we're paying the bill for number 10 as well (there has been a mix-up with the meter serial numbers), but .... strangely...... the 'leccy company refuse to investigate! Powergen Avoid like the plague! we used to live in a massive house, with loads of electrical good, and paid £50 a month Now we're in a small house, with nowhere near the number of computers etc. paying £100 a month, but Powergen have decided it isn't enough. I know the price of 'leccy has gone up... but really! They make it next to impossible to calculate your usage as well.... it's more complicated than an advanced Linux guide written in Klingon!

There have been some really pathetic threads on eduGeek recently, but this takes the buscuit! The word "gay", as used here, is the sort of expression I'd expect off the less able students. There is no way a member of staff, in a school, should be using this expression, it certainly wouldn't be tolerated in the schools I've worked in. What next....? Are we going to sanction the use of racist language too? I find the bad language used by some on this site offensive, since when did we pander to the lowest common demoninator???

If I were you, I'd rent one in South Africa. They are cheap to hire from car rental location at the airport, when I was there at Easter, it started at £1.50 a day

I agree with rush_tech, when I flagged up something to youtube, they ignored it. In the end the student was threatened with permanent exclusion unless he removed it!

try another PSU, it could be the 12volt rail I'd remove all components, except the CPU and start adding ram hdd etc to see if it posted.

Joanne, Lancs Uni run good courses designed for school tech. I know a few on Edugeek that are doing / have done the courses. If you do 4 courses you get a foundation degree!

ah.. the ability to watch divx files.... heroes s02 without the need to burn a cd! shame you can't browse the shared file on a PC as opposed to the ones MS looks at... but hey ho!
