The MSI G33M-FI has 2x eSata ports onboard connected to the Intel ICH9R http://global.msi.com.tw/uploads/Image/product_img/other/mainboard/backio/7357_back.jpg

The 8800GT 512MB reference design is single slot but there are some out there now using 3rd party designs which are dual slot, also the 8800GTS 512MB reference design is dual slot.

Vista with SP1 now available for TechNet subscribers
PeterW replied to Dos_Box's topic in Windows Vista
Interesting mine took almost an hour and I have all the updates etc, was it x86 or x64 may I ask? -
Its our picture that is out of date, we have used both models of the chassis the LP-772 is the one pictured that uses a standard 5.25" drive, the other model which we have been switching to is the LP-571 which takes a slimline optical drive and has a 3.5" bay and is the chassis Viglen use (they also have a different colour scheme to make it look unique). I must admit we have never had a report of this, I take it the power button plastic gets one of its edges pushed under the surrounding casing I can see how this could occur.

We sell them here SCL AIO, it is the same chassis as the Viglen as already mentioned above. If you need a quote for a specific specification just drop me a PM or use the request aquote on the website.
-
We can provide pre extracted drivers apon request. PM if you need details.

They are all ASUS notebooks by the looks of it.

As already mentioned even if you do find any other MS-7297 bios files it is strongly advised not to attempt to flash to them as MS-7297 is a general moel number and will have mnay different ERP revisions some of them could be drastically different and even use different size bios roms. The best think to do would be to work out what the differnece is between your system and Geoff's as his seems to be enabled and working.

Don't bother its a unique board/bios to HP.

What stepping is the CPU? Not all Athlon 64 x2's have Pacifica tech in them, try running cpu-z to get the stepping. If you can confirm the CPU has it then its worth seeing if there are any BIOS updates to enable it. Its an MSI mainboard by the sounds of it but you will have to get any updates via HP.

Which driver versions have you tried? There are beta & whql candidates being leaked almost daily. Is this the issue here http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=58173 ?

RTM is available via Windows Update now apparently. Some users are having to check for updates a few times before it appears.
-
That would be a release candidate build 3264 by the looks of it, build 3311 installed here and its still release candidate. Was it just me or did anybody else get really excited at seeing that topic title? (and then ultimatley dissapointed)

You will need to use the 4 Pin P4 power connector, without this the board will likley not post. As for the 21-24 pins of the ATX power connector you do not need to use this (it will probably become a requirement on future boards as did the P4 4 Pin connector) but as you have the connection availble on the new PSU I would connect it anyway.

I tend to use them less these days as mainly all they are telling you is at what piont the system is through posting. It won't really help you to tell if you have bad caps or stability issues. If the board is duff it is unlikey to give any post output at all, they are more usefull if you have lots of addon cards or peripherals. The board you have is about 7 years old and I do remember lots of boards from that time having bad caps issues. Ahh the MS-6340 MSI's first Micro ATX socket A mainboard (little brother of the 6330 K7T Pro MSI board with live update that had a knack of wiping the BIOS while halfway through a Windows 98 install, later fixed) LOL

I think we have a winner! But yes common solutions seem to be;- Not to buy optical drives Customer removes power from the drive Coins in the drives don't happen often but when they do sometimes I have seen them short on the IDE interface and actually prevent the PC from posting. Indeed also with USB internal card readers those compact flash slots are just dying out for some little darling to stick thier front door key into and take out the card reader and/or mainboard (I have a nice picture of a mainboard with a blown USB controller where a child has attacked the card reader:mad:) Funnily enough it mainly happens for this particular customer in thier library area with the PC's in the classrooms not being touched.

LOL just noticed you posted this on overclockers a couple of hours ago.

I think somebody took a screencap and the man in the hut is Jack's father! Ohh spooky.

Err he doesnt say 2 x 2MB ram 2x 2MB is the cache on the Pentium D 945 CPU.

Are any of the 5.25 bays free? If so you can get a 5.25 - 3.5 mounting bracket for a few quid.
